dgg9879 Posted December 13, 2006 Share Posted December 13, 2006 I read in gamespot shootouts are easier with the mouse than gamepad and found this to be the case but prefer the gamepad when not in a shootout. So I alternate between keyboard and mouse and gamepad when playing. This works pretty well. I reckon it would be easier to drive with a joystick but currently don't have one. Is it possible to setup the game for joystick, mouse, keyboard and gamepad? I know it makes no mention of joystick in the game manual but using the joystick part of the gamepad just isn't the same. Starion Posted December 14, 2006 Share Posted December 14, 2006 Man ive been attempting to use a joystick for gta before I got my game pad and..: IT SUCKS!!! No. really it does. There is hardly no contol and its very hard to keep a car or plane or whatever going in a straight line. Good luck buddy. mod it with Nitrous Oxide and chassis dyno. doogle Posted December 18, 2006 Share Posted December 18, 2006 I take it your gamepad doesn't have one of the analogue joystick style controls on it? I recently tried playing SA with my joypad and it was ok, similar to playing with a PS2 dual shock thingy. Had a little trouble assigning keys to buttons but once sorted it was fine.
