cfg studio

Recommended Posts

The CFG Studio is based around Vehicle modding, so we keep it here, I know, confusing but its the way it is. So best to ask here or PM the author.

Good luck icon14.gif.

CFG Studio isn't really confusing, it is much better to use it than manually editing the handling.cfg as there everything is jumbled up and in CFGS it is all sorted and neat looking. As you see, Alexioto hasn't got any real need for the program anyway, because, as he explains in his short post, he wants to edit the sounds of the Sea Sparrow. wink.gif

@Alexioto: Firstly, you should open the CFG Studio. Then on the file tab, press open and there should be a handling.cfg there. Open it and you are ready to go. If there isn't one, navigate to Program Files>Rockstar Games>GTA San Andreas>data>handling cfg and you will find it there. For an explanation of the values that appear, check out this link.

And as you want to edit the sounds, you should better use SAAT (San Andreas Audio Toolkit) you'll find the link in that thread, scroll down a bit. The process isn't too hard, you'll need a couple of gigs free on your hard drive for the files. Get crackin' yo!

I WAS NOT referring to the program, I was talking about the fact that it was confusing that it is a program and it is posted in the Vehicles Modding Forums.

- Unzip the two executables and any ini files into a useful location such as the GTASA main directory.

- Open a command prompt window and cd to the install directory.

@jarjar: OK, I MISUNDERSTOOD YOU. wink.gif

@Alexi:

Are you sure you downloaded SAAT with a GUI (Graphical User Interface)? I don't think that need any interfering with command prompts and whatnot. Try this link http://gtaproject.free.fr/upload/GFS_Setup1.1.rar to get the other one. It is way easier.
