morsolo
Hey people, I finally got that notebook computer I mentioned a few times before (if you remember, if you don't still read on) I got it with the specific feature of a nVidia Go 7600, with SO CALLED 512mb or dedicated memory... Yet when I go to the settings of the GFX Card, it says "256", the nVidia website also says that the 7600 is 512... Anyone here know?
Dup
Sounds like a cock up to me! They may have confused the 512 with the system RAM, but if it's not as advertised, get them told. I think the 7600 can be 256 or 512MB, so I would get on the phone to the supplier for false advertising and get it replaced or some money from them. 'Cause, I had to wait an extra 3 weeks "Because it's 512mb, which is jsut released in Australia" Apparently...
Rocketkiller
I've never even heard of a 512 mb 7600. Was there some fine print explaining that it's really 256 mb?
morsolo
There was plently of fine print, but I couldn't see anything about the GPU. Today, I'm gonna go back to the seller, and: A) Ask politly why he fuc*ed us over? B) Murder him! C) Get money back...(For the GPU we paied for, not the Computer) D) Run outsid and lol, but anyway, I spent AGES tracking down this computer, because it was 'so called' a 512MB GPU... Fozzy Fozborne
You did realize that the difference between a 256 and a 512 7600 would be minimal, if anything, right?
Tornado Rex
You did realize that the difference between a 256 and a 512 7600 would be minimal, if anything, right? Regardless, I'd be pissed if I didn't get what I paid for too. ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~
Brutuz
My 6800GS is 512Mb With mine when you first start up you get the Graphics cards BIOS while the motherboards BIOS is doing its POST check, and for my 6800GS it says "Nvidia 6800GTS/GS BIOS Version blahblahblah 512Mb RAM" I've got a Gig of RAM so thats the Graphics cards GDDR3 RAM, I don't know if a laptop does that though, Will check on Mums new one when it comes.
