A-Ha - "Take on me"

Asia - "heat of the moment"

Tears for Fears - "Mad World"

That's a really good list! They might have had licensing issues with what songs they could get. Other games are lucky to be able to get enough songs to fill up their music tracks and have to turn to no-name bands. (are a lot of the songs in GTA owned by Sony Music?)

I was glad Blondie - Heart of Glass was in VCS. I was hoping for Michael Jackson - Beat It, that was huge in the early 80's and so totally 80's.

@GTA3Freak - Pseudo Echo - Funkytown - good call, way totally 80's...

How many of these songs are actually before 1984 though? Divinyls are 1991. I love Fernando's "I touch myself" reference in VC.

Were there any black guys in the 80's besides Michael Jackson and Mister T? It's kinda weird playing as a black guy, there were black guys in the 70's but the 80's was so white.

Wow dude, glad you pointed these songs out. But R* surely had a reason for not using, the eye of the tiger, or take my breath away. These songs might not fit the good ol' vice feel.

RDK9390, you know Michael Jackson provided the vocals to Rockwell's Somebody's Watching Me because Rockwell is the son of Motown founder Berry Gordy, who helped the Jackson 5 giving Diana Ross the credit instead of Gladys Knight & Bobby Taylor who first presented to Motown. Well, the rest they say is history.

I meant that, too, Brutuz! AC/DC...my uncle Matt had that album as well as other albums, too. By the way, my mother in the 70s was considered the true disco dancer of her day. You name it: Afro, bell bottoms, and all, she had all those disco albums, including the early 80s disco or funk albums that appeared around 1980 or 1981(She's A Bad Mama Jama, you name!)...she also did go to disco clubs even before Saturday Night Fever debuted in 1977. As a matter of fact, you remember the times in NYC and The Bronx, hell, even the Son of Sam scare that everyone was in a panic at least. My father can never move the same dance rhythmn that you see in Saturday Night Fever. However, my mother perfected that dance move.
