jarjar
Oh yea and if your just gonna sit here and B*tch about the glitches and the bugs and theis and that about the game well why dont you go to R* and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT Ha, your a funny one your are. Do you not read the forums, Rockstar do not give support on bugs and glitches, nor will they fix them. Do you really think they are going to re manufacture a game just to make us happy? No, they would lose money. Also, edit your posts next time. Next time READ and show some COMMON sense please, don't talk about stuff you don't know about . Old School Hustla
Let's face it, there's being nothing fresh since San Andreas and the PC version with all the mods that kept things interesting longer than normal. Two rehashes of old GTA titles is OK but a 10 month wait is a long time to maintain the hype. Rockstar could easily fire up the troops with a half dozen screenshots of GTA 4. Not that they will, but they could. Once Rockstar throws us a few scraps, the fire will be lit again!
Parky.
GTA games are no longer a top competitor in the market now if you ask me. Look what games are available on the latest consoles now. Hardly any free roam games, there Saints Row and Just Cause that are the only decent ones out there. People have moved onto other types of games, everyone loves a trend, and the GTA trend has been and gone. I played VCS up to 33% and not touched it for 2 week, the soundtrack is great, but I cba playing through the game. IMO multiplayer is the way forward for GTA and GTA-esque games. brucewayne909
In my opinion, I haven't been too happy with Rockstar since that Hot Cofee crap. I was finished with San Andreas and was still playing it since there was all the side stuff left and just the plain fun of a huge city that's yours to exlore. The HC scandal got me kind of annoyed, since it was just so stupid for the company to have that stuff in there and it was a wrong move. I have never seen the Hot Cofee mod, I have no idea of what it looks like and I don't intend to find out. It's just stupid. I think a lot of people are thinkin of the Stories games as real additions of the GTA series. I think of them as sort of an explansion pack to their originals, so LCS is GTA 3.5 and VCS is GTA VC.5. Same cities, same characters, only a few new things. They're really just to keep us busy until GTA 4. Just have fun, the games are reasonable enough if you're thinking with the mentality I described. Would yourather wait 3 years for GTA 4? Don't compare them to SA because they're not even close to that category. However I'm really upset with VCS. I'm suprised so many fans who post regularly on the forums have just dropped the game in the middle of the story and don't intend to complete it. I will not be going for 100% but I want to finish the storyline and then some. However the glitches...the're just devastating. And it pains me to think of how many glitches SAS will have if it comes out. And my opinion on GTA 4, I believe and trust that Rockstar will change gaming forever and make history like never before. I have faith in GTA.
thatsoccerguy
I've finally began to start playing VCS again, after about a month long break. All I had to do was beat the mission I gave up on ("Unfriendly Competition") and I could get back into the flow. P.S. - I don't know if this has been said before, but upgrading to 3.02 helps with glitching.
Capricornus
Like everyone else I was ecstatic about getting my hands on VCS and once again delving into 80's Vice City but here I am a month plus after its release and the farthest I got was when you get introduced to Empires and I haven't touched it since. I just don't feel any incentive or reason to play on. There's nothing I can really pinpoint why I feel this way, its GTA alright but eh its like there's something missing. Is it just the PSP format or is it that what GTA is, has become stale and its getting tiresome? I have to admit towards the end of LCS I was feeling the same way and as such I never finished the storyline and it too hasn't been touched in a long time. Has GTA outgrown us? I am just too old to appreciate it? Do small screens make a difference? Hey man I have had that feeling before. I do not have VCS because I don't have a PSP, but I had LCS for the PS2 and at least after 2 days of playing it, I lost that GTA feeling and I couldn't even play as much as I would play SA, VC, or even III. I don't know why though, but I just lost the feel of a new GTA game. LCS, to me, got boring pretty quick. I did later on manage to complete the main storyline missions, but 2 and a half hours later I traded it in.

tommyalma
GTAIII gave us the open world. VC gave us real music, a great main character and much better acting. SA gave us fine-tuned character physics, customization, a huge world, and the skies. And of course, each game gave us a brand new world to explore. ... and everything else has been a step backward. I really liked a lot about LCS, except the Donald Love missions were really sick, even for GTA. Also, no climbing, swimming or helis (w/o CD)? The worst radio in the series? No-name music again? As much as I've been into this series, the best thing about LCS was CheatDevice, and I still haven't bought VCS. VCS is the only one since GTAII that I didn't preorder. Still don't have it. I'd rather have a VC port. I'll buy it if it goes to the PS2, though. Don't wanna lose construction mode on my CD, ya know.
Blackadder.
... and everything else has been a step backward. Wrong. LCS was a major step forward as it was the first ever 3d portable GTA. I havn't got VCS but it seems pretty good considering it has great graphics, the great GTA gameplay, and good voice actors

I have to also confess, I still haven't finished LCS but I did get much further and I did enjoy it more then I am of VCS, so far anyway.

I havn't got VCS but it seems pretty good considering it has great graphics, the great GTA gameplay, and good voice actors The graphics are only better because of the screen size, put it into a TV and play it on a bigger screen and it won't be the case. Wesyeed
VCS is pretty much a watered down version of San andreas. That's the main reason I can think of for why it's viewed the way it is by many. Compared to the incredible amount of stuff squeezed into San An, both LCS and VCS seem exactly like what they are, expansions of old versions of GTA that we've already played to death and so we've become mostly bored doing the same stuff over again, but this time portable. That's the main special quality of the VCS and LCS games is they're portable. They also have wireless multiplayer, but nobody really has the chance to play that unless they have a bunch of friends with psps who bought the game, so it becomes a pointless feature to have for solitary players. Still, the Phil collins stuff and good old gta style are still very enjoyable. Where gta on portable systems and gta in general needs to improve to continue making it worth buying is in innovation. Each new gta really should introduce something new we couldn't do before since to me this series has been the most pioneering videogame series for 3d gaming consoles in the last decade. I can't really think of any other that's done so much... . no, there's the SIMS, that was impressive.

Canoxa
I'll confess something really bad, I never finished VC or GTAIII... Come on everyone we've got a heathen to burn at the stake here! No, to the gallows! Burn him while he's chocking! What a terrible thing to say. Anyways, I hold Vice City Stories as high in my consideration as LCS, if not higher (Vice City being my favourite game and all). The scrap of the Empire Building seemed fine and I'm looking forward to see it in other games.
.:Alex:.
The GTA series has never, ever been about technicalities. It has always been about the gameplay. LCS and VCS are perfect examples of this. It may have been a technical achievement but did anyone care? No. VCS especially is a good example, as the glitches heavily marr gameplay. As I say in many other posts, the best bit of GTA of course, is the exploration and discovery of a whole new world. People have played VC and III to death, so when they play LCS and VCS, the games loses something quite magical.
allegro man
I know this has been said 4 billion times already in this topic, but i got bored with VCS very quickly, I mean, it's a big improvement from Vice City, but i'd still rather play the same old SA i've been playing almost non-stop since 2004. And, as also said earlier, the same happened to me with LCS. But if/when San Andreas Stories comes out on PSP and if/when its an improvement from SA (is this possible?) then maybe it will be worth completing. And btw MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! TenaciousD.
I actually prefer the build-up to GTA games rather then playing them. This is only for the Stories though. For SA, VC and GTA3 it was easily the games. I think one of my favourite aspects of a GTA game is the city so for the Stories its not that big a deal because I've been there before. War-Lord
Iunno maybe its me but I still like this one. Maybe its because LCS and VCS are the only games I have on PSP. Though Vice City was my most hated city(Yes I kno groan and flame me) but this was actually I thought better then Vice City. I hated Tommy Vercetti attitude to everything and he looked like he was 50 in the game. Though I still am loving VCS. Hopefully it gets ported to the PS2.
