69_black_69: Looking good, but i think you should remove the black outlines and begin to go for more realism. Unless you wanted to leave the outlines there, that's perfectly acceptable.

Quick question, why when I add a shadow to something, such as a signature/banner, on the outside, does it look normal in PS, but then looks horrible and solid when I go to save it/upload it?

*Edit* Also noticed .png makes the image much smoother and less jagged.

Yeah, it's because GIF's aren't really meant for transparency. So all the sides are jagged and solid. Always save in PNG for transparency.

What do you guys do when you run out of inspiration? I've only just started doing some sh*tty-quick signatures, but want to try and teach myself some better things, but can't think of what to have as the end result?

Well i just look around the web for inspiration, do lots of tutorials and just try make some stuff by myself. Does a lot of good.

 

 

Speaking of Deadmau5, just made this. Going to try get it printed onto a t-shirt. What do you lads think?

I was looking at that last night, looks great. I've always liked abduzeedo, their tutorials are simply amazing and detailed.

I saw that too, on amazon I think, but I didn't pay much attention to it. Right now I'm not on my own computer and I don't have that much time so I just gave it a quick scroll from top to bottom and it seems like a really nice book, if I can I'll probably buy it through amazon

Found another tutorial on abduzeedos website on how to make a 'grunge poster' and managed to do this:

 

 

I didn't EXACTLY follow the tutorial. I mainly played around with brushes, textures, blending modes and whatnot and managed to make this. I'm surprised by how easy it was.

It's just something random and stupid I made up. 'T.A' stands for my initials, while 'Unknown' stands for not being known. I'm not exactly that known around here as people like Narcis, Rokas, The-King, Tommy, etc are. So yeah, 'UnknownTA'. It's pretty stupid if you ask me, but whatever.

Well everyone starts at the bottom. No doubt Narcis has been involved with graphics work for longer than you have, so has more experience and recognition.
