Done I guess?

Hey guys, been a while! Been so busy this summer I've rarely had time to sit down.   Here's a few pieces I've done the past while.       Some Photomanipulations.

Life size iPhone 4. Made from scratch in PS... The metalic frame around it should be thinner, i know

I must say manofpeace, I like your current signature with Niko. It's simple, sharp and looks swish. icon14.gif

I think the border on it is a bit too thick. Detracts from the actual image.

Nice though, none the less.

Yeah, its the first thing that draws your attention. I didn't even realise you had "Deuce Deuce" on there, fits nicely.

I made one from the new boxart, i know about the fuzzy border at the top but I couldn't fix it. confused.gif

We were on about manofpeace's, lol.

I like Deuce's, looks clean.

Ah, I'll make my borders smaller now. I was using a Size 5 Line for it. I guess 2 or 3 will do good.

edit: Looks like if I make the border smaller, the filesize of the pic gets larger. notify.gif

Thought I'd post in here instead of making a whole new topic which probably isn't needed because its abit of a n00bish question.

Anyway most of my sig's I've done lately are way over the limit here. And when I've gone onto PS CS3 again to resize the image it kinda well looks bad(As you can tell with my sig now) I was just wondering if there's anyway to make them under the limit but keep the image looking sharp and not blury and stuff.

Instead of resizing the images manually, go to Edit > Image Size (depending on your version; it should be similar in most), and then put in the desired image size (but make sure the 'contstrain proportions' box is checked). Click OK.

Then just crop the selection you wish to use and add the border as you would. icon14.gif

As far as file size goes, I generally only save my work in .png for the best quality, but if the size of the file is too large, then I just use .jpg or .gif (depending on the image) and make sure the best quality settings are selected.

Yep, I go with png files as well, mainly for transparency, but also file size. High quality JPG's can get up there in file size.

Here's some 3ds Max renders from me. The vise was made in Pro/E, a parametric modeling program (much different than 3ds Max), the bench was made in AutoCad 2005. Everything else was made in Zmod2 or 3dsMax.

Sorry for the page stretchers...

That's beautiful Julio. You should consider re-working the arms to make it seem as though they're embracing, instead of the whole 'my arm becomes your arm' thing that's happening now...I'd also consider deepening the black lines (mainly around the face). Overall though, great work.

Q. What did you use to color? Pencils? Markers? Photoshop?

If you click it again after it's in Isara, you can see that they're not compression blobs. Meh, I think I like 3 best anyway. Thanks guys.

Oh, I see, it's got a texture effect.

I think it's more interesting with that effect, but it looks kinda low quality.

So how does my new Avatar and Sig stack up?

Who is he?

I don't like the font, doesn't really fit the overall theme, too gritty. Needs a lighter colour also.
