GM Dude
Here's another story of mine. I've decided to put 'GTA: Dallas' on hiatus for now, but will be working on my other ones. Intro, part 1 The year 3000. It was much like the year 2000, only with colonies on Mars, the Moon, and in the Andromeda Galaxy. However, many things on Earth were almost exactly the same as in '00. The automobile industry was the most profitable in the world, but instead of floating, fusion-powered hovercraft-like machines, they were turning out perfectly recreated replicas of their old models{with the occasional new creation}, but many came with newer engines along with older designs. And what about the TV programming? Turns out many 20th and 21st century favorites like 'The Simpsons', 'South Park', and 'Futurama' were still on the air{of course, without their original cast}. 'The Simpsons' alone had gone thru several reincarnations, and the show's characters had been cast in literally hundreds of remakes of live-action classics, such as movies like 'Mad Max', and 'Star Wars', and TV sitcoms like 'Everybody Loves Raymond', 'X-Men,{the 1992 cartoon series}', and even 'Matlock' and 'CSI: Miami'. And the United Nations, you ask? It was still around, but instead of 200+ member nations, there were only 75 or so. After 10 world wars, many people felt the need to merge borders. So it happened, with many countries having larger And as for military warfare, nuclear bombs and armies were eventually replaced with computer gigaviruses and local militias, etc. Urban combat was now very common; Many gangs were now government-owned, and could be bribed to attack any city in any nation. And Jeeps would be partially replaced with modified civilian or law enforcement vehicles, outfitted by weapons that varied from city to city and nation to nation. Inflation, however, was long gone. In the year 2010, America's first president of the Patriot Party, Jack Perry, signed the 'Anti-Inflation' bill, one that would totally eliminate all inflation, and would set all money values to their summer 1979 levels{chosen by the people, of course}. Eventually, it happened, with the end of World War IV, and the term of America's first woman president, Victoria DeValera{who had been in office since 2025 thanks to revisions done to the 22nd Amendment at the beginning of Perry's term}, in 2050. That ended up making people's lives so much easier. The U.S. had also added 4 more states over that millenium{There were actually 55, though, as the 4,000 mile wide Okinawan island complex[ocean area, not land area], had become a state in 1976}; Puerto Rico, Cuba, the Bahamas, and Guam{in 2012, 2019, 2078, and 2456 respectively}. As for demographics, they read out like this: Population-756,476,000 Hispanic-47.5% *Indian-55% *Spanish-27% *Mestizo or other-18% White-31.6% *Italian-54% *Scots-Irish-25% *French-9% *Russian{also includes Armenian, Ukrainian, and Baltic}-7% *German or Nordic-2% *Other-4% African American-8.3% *Caribbean-79% *Africa-20.2% *Other-9.8% Asian-7.7% *Japanese-56% *Chinese-21% *Vietnamese-9% *Taiwanese-8% *Other-6% Misc. 4.9% *Pacific Islander-35% *Filipino-33% *Arab-22% *Jewish-7.3% *Other-2.7% Statistics- Poorest States-Mass., N.Y., Tex., Richest States- Calif., Okla., Fla., Most Corrupt States-N.Y., Minn., N.D., Least Corrupt States-Calif., Fla., Ariz., Highest Crime Rates-Mass., N.Y., Tex., Lowest Crime Rates-Colo., Wy., Mich., And yes, even the first time machine was created around that time{2985}. Intro, part 2 Jack Costelli lived in Newcastle, Calif., on San Andreas Island, which was 185.5 NW of San Francisco. It was almost a perfect circle shape, but had some jagged edges{nothing like the map in the game, which is perfect square shape}, as well as a large gorge running thru the middle of it{created by the San Andreas Fault, of course}. There were 4 major cities: Los Santos{7 mil.}, San Fierro{2.5 mil.}, Las Venturas{870,000}, and La Castilla{275,000}, in order of population. Los Santos was the most popular tourist destination in the entire West, San Fierro was home to Honda and Daihatsu{since 2100}, and the Apple Computer Museum, Las Venturas had the world's most expensive hotels and the only working casinos outside of Vegas, and La Castilla held the world's 2 biggest and longest automotive circuits, as well as being next to the Glass Valley National Park. Jack had a good life; his girlfriend was doting and responsible, he owned an extremely successful auto-tuning business which often netted him over $100,000 a year{$1 million in the year 2000}, and had a nice house and over a dozen cars in his garage. But he was still yearning for a more adventurous life.... Frank Miller lived in the NYC suburb of Liberty City, now with 1.1 million people, and a better-equipped police force and lower crime rates. He was an African-American entrepeneur{did I spell that right???}, who was somewhat well-known for having built a completely wireless TV sometime in 2970. But he was still yearning for a better life, tired of his rather meager salary of $2-3k a year. And without his wife to support him, his life was starting to spiral out of control. But one hope remained for him; to get out of New York at any cost..... Alyson 'Lissa' Jimenez was a poor 18-year-old Mexican-American girl living in the West Side of Vice City, the largest and richest suburb of Miami. She didn't ever really have a good life; her dad died after a very high-speed car chase when she was 5, and her mom was constantly having financial trouble. So she sold stolen cars for a living, as well as trafficked marijuana outside of the state{marijuana was still illegal in 52 other states, except for Calif. and Okla.}, etc. Little did they know what fate had in store for them..... --------------- End of Intro Edited December 3, 2006 by GM Dude

GM Dude
You should really not just post three lines of Chapter 1 because you can, you should post all of it at once Here it is. Chapter 1 Tuesday, Jan. 8, 3000 Jack woke up at 7:00 that morning to leave for work. His girlfriend was still asleep, so he quietly snuck downstairs for some breakfast. After having his normal eggs, toast, and bacon, he went to the garage to figure out which car he would drive that day. Finally, he chose the red 1946 Ford sedan, and drove off to work. When he got there, he noticed that it smelled like somebody shat into a pile of rotten eggs. He decided to try to ignore it, and get on with business as usual. Just after he closed at 8:30, however, he decided to find where exactly that awful smell was coming from. He followed the smell into the janitor's closet, and was just plain horrified to see that there were 12 dead bodies in that one area. After notifying authorities, he decided to go home and forget about all that. His girlfriend wasn't home, so he decided to go ahead and sleep in early. ----------------------- End of Chapter 1 Edited December 4, 2006 by GM Dude
