xxtremeguyxx2001
Hi, when I play San andreas on my ps2 I notice some skipping in different locations when I drive a car, bike, running, etc. It's a bit annoying. I was just wondering if you guys are experiencing the same thing and wheather this is normal. thanks, Stu

xxtremeguyxx2001
Skipping? I don't understand what you mean. Does the game lose frames? Hi, sorry I should have been more clear. what I mean by when the game skips is that the game will stop for a fraction of a second (becomes choppy). Sometimes a bit longer and sometimes it'll happens 2 or 3 times at a clip, then it'll be good for a while. This sometimes ocurrs every 5-10 seconds whenever I'm running, driving, biking, swimming, etc. This choppy behavior occurs in the same places such as in Los Santos crossing the train station. This doesn't really effect my game but it is a bit annoying at times. I was just wondering if you guys are experienceing the same thing and wheather this is normal due to san andreas's large size and everything that has to load. Any info is greatly appreciated. Stu edit: I started a new game and it might be a little better but it's still a bit choppy at times. Could it be that I'm getting low fps? Informant X
Your disc is scratched maybe. In some instances having too many cheats enabled then saving the game will cause it. The frame rates ar also sticky at some areas as well, where theres a lot of trees and grass cause they use a lot of detail.
xxtremeguyxx2001
thanks for the response. I checked my disk and it's not scrached. Never used any cheats either. I do get the low frame rates in certain places as well. The choppy behavier isn't constant. Sometimes it'll be pretty choppy and other times it'll be smooth. Sometimes it'll be fine for a few blocks and then it'll be choppy and then be good for a while. Once the game froze though. I'm always saving my game and whenever I'm busted or killed I always load my saved game since I dont like losing all my weapons. Not sure if that has anything to do with it though.
