vint_cool
link : http://www.gamespot.com/news/6162435.html Earlier this month, Epic Games and Microsoft touted the fact that Gears of War had sold more than 1 million copies. Not to be outdone, Vivendi Games subsidiary Sierra Entertainment today matched that stat with its own game, Scarface: The World Is Yours. According to numbers from sales trackers NPD, the multiplatform game was the overall top-selling title in the US in October, as well as the number-one PlayStation 2 and Xbox game for the month. The handheld version, Scarface: Money. Power. Respect., topped the PSP charts for the same time period. looks like GTA genre is here to stay - contrary to some reports saying the formula is getting boring and repetitive
BroDan
You have to take into account that it was over multiple platforms. It's a high ammount of sales but GoW was on ONE platform which does make it a better seller by single type. But I agree, GTA style games are good but nothing will beat the original, copies are only good for short periods. Still alive, lurking in the shadows. uNi
It appears that the game is not that great. I mean Scarface not GOW, that's orgasmic.

GTA3Freak-2001
It's a good game its just that its covered in a layer of glitches, bugs and performance issues.
AlianAnt
I enjoyed the hell out of Scarface, and I hadn't even seen the movie. I think its the best GTA clone ever, and deserves that 1 million copies sold. Call me a crazy idiotic lunatic with no idea of what makes a good game, but Scarface went above and beyonde my expectations (which really wern't the high, but still!). Metal up your ass! GTA3Freak-2001
Looks isn't where it shines, it shines in the gameplay which is not cliché' at all. You play it and get an experience that isn't similar to any game you've played before. So its the best movie to game "game" I've ever played. MMFF
I enjoyed the hell out of Scarface, and I hadn't even seen the movie. Off with his head!!!! But really, Scarface was an awsome game. It had a bunch of things that I only wish GTA had, but it was still not better. The driving felt sketchy, but I loved the gore and selling of drugs and custom mansion. And whoever the guy is that voiced Toni was awsome. I don't see the GTA genre ever going away.
