tekkenfreek233
I was driving around the beach in a BF Injection the other day and passed by a Life Guard Tower. I noticed a sign on there that said "RIP Currents" or something like that. I'm wondering "WTF does this mean?" Can anybody find it and possibly get a picture because I don't have a Digital Camera or a Cheat Device. plunkett
probably means there are Rip Currents in the water.. a rip current is a strong water flow that is water either coming back or going to shore sometimes they are called riptides
GTA3Freak-2001
Surely its not R.I.P but rather Rip Currents which as explained above are deadly currents that can pull you out to sea.
tekkenfreek233
Oh, so that's what it is. Thanks for clearing that up for me, I just wondered and thought maybe it was an easter egg or something. Feel free to lock and delete, GTA3Freak-2001! P.S., Nice SP reference in your title, man! GTAThomas
If it does say "R.I.P. Currents" than maybe it's just an egg about how Rockstar tried to get waves and currents right, but they wouldn't work. So they were "dead".

Hmmm...maybe you're right. I'm going to check and see if it was actually "R.I.P." and not just "rip".

ybakker
So what's the message when it's just "RIP" not "R.I.P."? I'm sure R* means for us to read it R.I.P. Here's my theory. Since you can only see this sign when you get to the second island, once you do unlock the second island (and the ability to see this sign), the currents that bring you back to Mainland are gone, or "dead". If it was just RIP, then what's the sad smiley for?

If it was just RIP, then what's the sad smiley for? Rip is in reference to a rip current which I explained further up, R.I.P is rest in peace. Obviously there's a smilie face because with rip currents its dangerous to swim in the area and so people can't swim in the water.
