GTA: VCS Cheat Device on white PSP

I would like to know if it's possible to use the CheatDevice and play GTA: VCS on the white PSP version 1.5 which is japanese. I also need to know and find a PSP that has a certain firmware that I can get for Christmas to have CheatDevice on GTA: VCS. Please help.

The colour of the PSP won't make a difference its what firmware it has that is what you need to know as well as if the PSP is a version with the dreaded TA-82. With 1.5 you'd need to either a)Use Devhook to emulate 2.71 and load an ISO of the game or b)update to 2.71 SE B3(or the newer SE C) and load the game as normal.

...and even the TA-082 motherboard doesn't stop you as you can play it through HEN-C/DevHook as an ISO as well from FW2.71.

1) You should be able to (I don't actually have 2.71SE, so I can't say firsthand, but it seems to be pretty good about running 2.8x games from what I've read).

 

2) Don't know whether it affects the "save game" version of LCS CheatDevice or not, but the PRX version (i.e. LCS CheatDevice v2.x)should run fine with 2.71SE as it runs the same way the VCS CheatDevice does.

For some reason, option B sounds more easier. But I would like to know that this will work on a Japanese PSP? And do I have to have like a certain kind of memory stick?

Not sure if you guys are aware that Devhook v0.50 was released with 2.82 support, so now it can be ran through devhook.

So wait your saying that someone can run Cheat Device if they have already updated to 2.82 for VCS?

He is saying that for Firmware 1.5 Users, there is no need to Upgrade to 2.71 or the Dark Alex's 2.71 Custom Firmware Anymore, you can just run DH 0.50 from FW 1.5 and play VCS via the UMD. You need DH in order to run CD for VCS be cause CD for VCS is a PRX.
