Leet For Lyfe
http://rockstarwarehouse.stores.yahoo.net/pc.html GTA SA costs $20 but GTA 3 and VC cost 30$ for PC.... Why?? Anybody got an answer? GTA 3 for PS2 is like $5, and VC is $8. SA is $20. BUt on PC?? Is this supposed to go here or in the SA section? jarjar
Maybe because not many people want San Andreas on PC anymore due to it's restrictions, and it's now unpopular reputation.
Heihachi_73
I've noticed this with the PS2 as well - Big W, Kmart and Target all had GTA3 and Vice City. Target wanted $49.95 for GTA3 Platinum! I saw VC for $39.95 in a discount shop (The Warehouse, "where everyone gets a bargain"). I've seen GTA3 PC second hand for $9 at a games shop, so I don't know. Still prefer the PS2 version with its unmodified maps. I have no idea why they threw in boxes (e.g. bribe in Chinatown) and solid fences (e.g. outside the "old school hall") in some places on the PC. I must admit though, it is annoyingly slow on the PS2 for manual aiming with the sniper, M16 or rocket launcher.
Spenc938
Because GTAIII is the coolest, so they have to charge more.
Justin
The forces of supply and demand... Which is essentially what's been touched on above. SA's poor public reputation, lack of demand for version 2, etc. Perhaps an oversupply of copies.
Leet For Lyfe
Yep good point all. Forgot about the poor rep SA has now after the hot coffee mod, but that was like a year ago right?
