Problem(s)with VCMP 0.3...

1. This glitch is called "Passenger Of Death", or that's what I'm calling it. Basically, when someone tries to get into a vehicle as a passenger, they lose their connection. They can tab out, and then if they load it again, halfway down the pink loading bar, their computor freezes. This has happened twice to me, and about three times to one of my friends. Not sure what happens for the driver.

 

2. This glitch is.. Well, it doesn't have a name. I'm not even sure if I can explain it very easily. Plus, I might be the only one that experiences it, but still. Anyway, I started VCMP, as usual. I got to the screen where you're in the Kaufmen Cab garage, but the text in the left top corner wasn't what it normally is. "CRC32" something something. Can't remember all of it, but I'll go and find out after this post. I checked around here, and found other people saying they were stuck in the Kaufmen Cab garage. Someone told them to reload VCMP. I figured this would help me. ..It didn't. I reloaded VCMP about ten times and still kept getting that message. It might be that I installed about three car mods the other day, but my friend told me VCMP doesn't allow car mods. I immediately used GTA Mod Installer 5 to replace the mod with the backup. Maybe the backup didn't work, so after this I might try reinstalling VC.

 

I hope you can fix these problems, and tell me how to deal with glitch 2.

Emopat for number 2, stop using mods! and for Number 1 I get it too, VCMP 0.3 did seem alittle rushed compared to 0.2

Theres always something wrong eh? lol, Hopefully the dev could make a 0.3b for all these problems if they have the time..

Hello Emopat.

 

For your second problem, I'd recommend you to delete the Vice City folder completely to avoid any unnecessary files there from previous mods. By deleting Vice City with the uninstaller, won't help. It just deletes the original Vice City files, not the modifications inside the folder.

Therefore, you should go to your Rockstar folder, find the Vice City folder, right click it - delete. When that's done, run the uninstall for Vice City. Then proceed to reinstallation.

When Vice City has been reinstalled, you can install VC-MP again.

 

Never install mods when you have VC-MP. The only thing that really works, is to replace textures on vehicles and skins.

 

Regarding your first problem, the only thing we can do is to hope that the devs will do their best to remove that issue.

Isn't the first one related to that patch (or crack, whateva) thing? Well, try download the patch in irc topic and see if it works, otherwise, it can be other things

To the connection loss problem, I always had it constantly in littlewhitey since 0.1, even in sa-mp it happens constantly to me in his server :S
