~Giggle~
I have a problem with updating my sound card drivers in that I can't. I am just fresh from a reformat and I have done it before with this PC and I never usually have a problem with the drivers but I am this time. Device manager says that it can't find the driver for the unknown PCI device (my sound card) and I windows update doesn't have anything. Mercury KOB C884-E 5 Channel Sound Card 05041115300039 I have been on the Mercury website but the drivers they have seem to be for a 6 channel sound card and as you can see that is a 5 channel sound card. I tried them anyway but they didn't work. So anyone have any ideas? It's really annoying having no sound.
Spenc938
It looks like you either have a 6 channel card, and you just don't know, or you have the wrong model number. I would suggest trying some other Mercury drivers for 5 channel cards, and if that doesn't work, contact the manufacturer.
~Giggle~
I'm just going by the information on the label that's attached to the sound card. But I'll try some other ones.
