staindredglass
a topic like this is probably already somewhere on the site, but i can't find any. i just reinstalled GTA3 a couple days ago and i've been looking up mod stuff. i found 2 things that i wanna put in, but both say i need to use Spooky's IMG-Tool. here's a line from the read me for 1 of the 2 things i wanna add: "Add all 5 DFF´s to the GTA3.IMG, use Spookys IMG-TOOL for it"... the thing is, Spooky's IMG-Tool isn't recognizing the DFF's. how do i get Spooky's IMG-Tool to work??? jarjar
Did you add them to the GTA3.IMG file or did you try to open the .dff file?

Ben
This is a modding question and should be in the modding section, not in gameplay. Anyway, gta3.img is an archive of all models and textures in GTA3, and is located in your GTA3\models folder. Use IMG Tool to open it, and then you'll be able to add the files required with ease. You'll probably have to rebuild the IMG afterwards though. And, as with any modding endeavour, the first and most important step is to BACK UP! In this case, you'll want to back up BOTH gta3.img and gta3.dir (which is also located in your GTA3\models folder) - the DIR file is best thought of as an index of the files in the IMG. Good luck, and enjoy .
