It'll come out when it does. Meanwhile, patience will be the only companion you will have until then. All the better if there isn't a port. GTA_Loco Posted November 27, 2006 Share Posted November 27, 2006 Well before, a group of American-Haitians managed to convince Rockstar to alter Vice City to be more Haitian Friendly, that's why there's a version of that of Vice City. Meaning, somehow Rockstar also listens to people's opinion. While this VCS PSP port to PS2 campaign may not be similarly political in nature, if a good number of people make a professional petition with convincing reasons to Rockstar, if ever that is really necessary, I don't see any reason why it will just be ignored by Rockstar. However, I doubt that Rockstar will base their decision on people's opinion by browsing on game forums. But why not just give it sufficient time and let's see if Rockstar indeed doesn't intend to port it to PS2. Then maybe that's the time to make any formal petitions or whatever. Yeah but Rockstar would easily make up any extra sales they would have gotten from VCS on PS2 with GTA4 anyway. Its Sony who want Rockstar to port it to PS2 just so they can sell more PS2's. I beg to differ on that point. Since the PS1, these people have been supporting R* North, although then it was DMA Designs. We have spent around £200 on our PS2 systems, and for everyone who has all the GTA's available they will have spent about £170 EACH supporting these guys. Am I wrong to think we are owed a favour???? I think not, most people are not rich, hence it is either the PS2 or the PSP, and seeing GTA is technically the PS2's then I feel we deserve this favour. 1) You never know, it is worth a try. 2)They might be going back on their word if they do, but a lot of people think it is a lack of respect if they dont, the GTA community has made R* North what it is. 3)First off, I will never take credit for the port if it happens. It is everyone who has taken the time out to say yes to this that will be held high and holy. Who said anything about only 20 people? I agree totally. You have to get used to some games being exclusive to other consoles. Sonic used to be Segas, but got bought by the other consoles cos they shut down there console development. Every single GTA has been released on a version of the Playstation, and for only ONE of them to not be released destroys any GTA fans collection if they cannot afford the damned PSP. R* currently has no plans. If they have plans in the future, they wont be going back on their word because, as far as I know, they didn't announce that it will never be ported to the PS2. But see, the 360 and the PS3 are an entirely difference kettle of fish. The PSP was solely realeased to try and demise 360 sales while Sony worked on the bugs on the PS3, deny that and your lying to yourself. People will save up for the 360 and PS3 as I am doing, I mean Im a student, and get my student loan payment in January ....... guess whos buying a 360. And I get another payment in April, I will have also sold my PS2, and some of its gadgets (excluding the GTAs and Ghost Recons of course) Which put together ... .Wacko has a PS3 as well.
