Master-Of-GTA
Getting bored of your old games? This is the official topic for suggesting fun things to downloads. Total conversions, free expansion packs, cool demos, you name it and someone will probably post something about it ( ) if you don't do it yourself. I'll get the ball rolling: Name: zDoom Current Version: 2.1.7 Description: Some would call it a TC for Doom, and that description is pretty accurate except that the mod doesn't change anything but the 'works' of the game. zDoom will let you play your Doom games like you were playing Half-Life or Deus Ex (eg. mouse to look, WASD to move/strafe, etc.) and it'll support quite a lot of custom .wad files you can download, not to mention your original Doom .wad files. zDoom will also let you crank up the visual effects quite a lot, meaning resolution and detail, as well as transperancy and particles effects for certain things. A worthy download for any Doom fan. How To Work: Download the .zip, extract it to a folder, wack some Doom .wad files into the folder, and start the application. You'll be greeted by a window (if you put more than one .wad file in the folder) that allows you to select your .wad file. Do just that and the game will start. Rating: 95% Download Link: Click Here! 3niX
Well... I might aswell mention F.E.A.R. Combat, Wolfenstein ET and Americas Army. All of them you can find by google. They are free full online FPS games. Ill provide links if anyone wants.
GTA3Freak-2001
There's also a similar thing made for Duke Nukem 3D which adds mouse support and proper compatibility on modern PC's, on top of that there is also a "real" 3D conversion of the game that adds better textures and removes sprites in favor of 3D models. JonoF's JFDuke3D Port Duke3D HRP(High Resolution Pack) You still need to have a copy of the game but anyone into to gaming should have it lying around somewhere. Its worth it as seeing Duke 3D with 3D models and nicer textures makes it so much more enjoyable.
GTAThomas
Return To Blockland I'm sure many GTAF'rs as well as I can agree this is a good way to spend time with your friends and have fun with it. Just click the Download link at the top of the page and select the download you're most confortable with. Do the very first download link, the .zip way is a pointless pain in the arse. Loman
Free Lunch Design has some free 2D games. Icy Tower is my favorite of the bunch. At Arcade has free flash games, lots of which are flash versions of old console games.

Master-Of-GTA
The Resident Evil 3 demo is pretty good too. Unfortunatly, I don't have a download link. PM me with one and I'll edit this post and include it.
EmSixTeen
Trackmania Nations is a free racing game which is great fun, and was used for the ESWC. Warsow is a community made FPS designed with professional gaming in mind. It's based on the free Quake 2 source, but is very much like Quake 3's CPMA mod, with added flavour. Great game. TommyAngelo
You know you gotta love ya MMORPG's check out Ragnarok Online. It's free for at least the first 40 hours you play. f*cking addictive game too, I played it for so long before World of Warcraft came out. Oh and this is the aussie version, I've never played on the American servers so I wouldn't have a clue of how good they are.

Raindancer
Not really a game. But i spend alot of time on Second Life You do need a good connection and graphics card for it to run smoothly. There is not really a point to it. You dont build up stats or fight dragons. Its really a 3D world you can do pretty much what you want in. I spend alot of my time in the sandboxes, making stuff. and trying to annoy the locals, by braking into there houses and interupting thier conversations!! you can listen to streaming music and watch porn films if you have any cash (linden Dollers) which is easy enough to get by 'Camping' sitting on your arse and leaving the computer idle for a few days. But the main thing i like about SL is that you can create scripts to do just about anything. (a mix of C+ & Java) (Which i am sh*t at) And xcan build anything you want. here are some of my older creations.
the_darkside_986
http://www.cubeengine.com/ I downloaded Sauerbraten (Cube 2) and Cube for Linux and they seem ok. I need a new gfx card to run Cube 2 at a decent frame rate but Cube performs beautifully. I have no hi-speed net so I must play single-player mode I tried recompiling Sauerbraten from source, hoping that it would be more optimized but it didn't help very much. I will use my xmas money to buy an nvidia card (hopefully pci-express) because my ATI x200 is awful at doing anything. The game isn't Halo but it is still very fun to play. Smellton
I downloaded a game called Tremulous the other day, it's a free online aliens vs humans style game, similar to Gloom if anyone has played that. It's a mixture of action and RTS.
