BCspeed34
I got into the sewer area finally, after about 10 minutes of attempts. You can get a ton of speed in there, I pulled off some trick and got 914, and it was just a little one it seemed. Also, when you get 3x, the walls around the pipe are all colored with graffiti and sh*t. ________________________________________ 専車SODO-MOTO International Vehicle Importers
darthYENIK
I'm never able to do it. I always look at the clock after trying for 10 to 15 minutes, then I say, "f*ck it.", and start playing as usual.

GTAThomas
Are there pedestrians and vehicles moving around in the 1-4 player mode? I hated how the Tony Hawk games made you feel like you and your friend were the only two humans in an empty wasteland. darthYENIK
New videos are showing up on skate.reel. It sucks, I have to wait until tomorrow, probably in the late afternoon or evening, to pick it up. So watching skate.reel is gonna be a tease. darthYENIK
So, is this really worth getting? Honestly. Imma Tony Hawk fan from the early 90s, so I'm loyal to him. This game looks like it could be good, but what's the story? I don't wanna get bored after a half hour session. Plus, my thumbs f*cked up as it is, this looks like a sure fire way to get some annoying cramps. Tony had a story, the best one of which was T.H.U.G. If SKATE has a story like T.H.U.G, which I'm not sure it does, I don't know, I'll totally buy it. I don't think there is much of a story. I hear there is a little bit of a story, you know, the whole up and coming skater theme. But there aren't any twists or anything like tony hawk. But judging for the new tony hawk demo, you can have a story like Citizen Kane, and it'll wouldn't help. @Diablo, my wait doesn't seem so bad compared to yours. Of course I only have to wait a few hours now.

beanmachine43
I tried playing the new Tony Hawk demo...Yeah, trying was all about I could do. Button pressing just feels so unresponsive and unnatural now. Picking up a copy of Skate in about an hour. Friend has already bought it and says it's awesome. Will have to see for myself before getting all gitty inside.
darthYENIK
I picked it up. It's awesome. There's nothing like bombing down a hill, dodging traffic, and setting up a long high speed line. The custom skater options could be better, but I'm not too upset. Gouveia
I'm looking forward for this game. I'm impressed with all those gameplay footage, with the screenies and with the demo I played on my friends house. I know, I don't have a Xbox360/PS3. But I don't have'em YET. Andyzoot
Now that people have got the game could they tell us what the replay options are like? Is it those same 5 preset camera views from the demo or can you place a camera anywhere? Also are there more effects?
G MONEY $$$
I played the Tony Hawk's demo yesterday and it is BRUTAL compared to skate. I mean, the quality and controls are totally repulsive after playing the skate. demo. I'm getting my copy on Monday since it doesn't seem to be out yet in Vancouver. darthYENIK
Ok, here are some answers. The story is somewhat there. You begin with what I believe is the greatest live action opening cinematic of all time. It shows a skater grind down a rail, and out of no where, is hit by a bus. You are taken to the hospital, and that is where you begin the create a skater. It's not the greatest, but definitly better than THP8. You can change the look of your face and body using sliders. The hair options aren't too great, and even the buzz cut looks like a mullet. There are plenty of clothes though, and a good selection of decks, trucks, and wheels. When you are done making your skater, you are awakened by your camera man (the annoying voice you heard during the demo). He takes you to the community center featured in the demo, and this is where you could go through the same tutorial, or skip it. After that you pretty much do what you want. Cruise the city, hit some spots, and raise your rep meter(not sure on the name), so you can gain sponsors and access to new secret places. That's about as much as I know since I'm taking it slowly, and exploring the city. @Pandazoot, Sorry to say it, but the editor is pretty much what you see in the demo, except you can save your replays and screens to your console. It's probably the only aspect the new Tony Hawk has skate beat.
Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
That sounds a little dull though. Where's the story, nowhere. Where's the incentive, absent. And I'm big on the customizable character feature, so if that sucks, I just would despise the game.
darthYENIK
The game isn't about the story. It's all about the skating. And the customizable characters don't necessarily suck. It's just got a sh*tty hair selection.

Uno Carb
Every game that had a create-a-character mode has ALWAYS had sh*tty hair selections, haha. Can they seriously not make decent hair textures?!
RMT
How is online? is it as laggy as reviews have been making out? Also in the freeskate online mode, how much of the city is cut out to play in? and how big? Thank you please. Pacrel Focre
