dertyjerzian
Hey everybody, I've been working on a new large scale mod and I've been trying to set up a cns for it. I'm hoping that once it's up and running it will be an easier way for me to feed my server new info to show. I have *created the new empty database *uploaded the downloaded geeklog directory And I am clueless as to what to do next. Someone please help me? Svip
A. We have no idea what you are talking about, a bit more information please? Cause some of us can't be bothered Googling/Wikipediaing it. B. Why do your images suck so much? Did you use MS Paint?
dertyjerzian
did you mean to be a prick today when you woke up? Basically, I wanna do a CMS for my site... And don't know which to use or how to set it up... Yes, the images you see were done in MSpaint, I'm not a 2D guy... I could do some stuff in PSP or Photoshop, but havent gotten around to it. The sig is stretched, or rather smashed, to fit the rules here. I was planning on enlisting some help with that down the road... Like, when the site is actually existant... uNi
You should use Joomla! , and if you have Cpanel in your host, it can install Geeklog for you. Anyway, if have the DB already all you should need to do is access it like http://urhost.com/Geelog and a install page should pop up.
Toadyd
Did you look at this first? You could always consider a hosted solution, a blog on wordpress.com or blogger.com allows you quite a bit of customisation and will easily allow you to update news and keep in touch with interested members. That would save you the hassle of messing about setting your own site up, and leave you with more time on your mod. If you want your own hosted solution though, see geeklogs instructions above.
