galla35
When ever I start my GTA:SA for pc after the nividia screen it freezes up and shoes a purpleish screen and then I have to ctrl alt delete it and end the process, also ive tried reinstalling probably 10 times. When I was exploring on my pc under /rockstargames/gtasanandreas/movies it says GTAtitles and logo, both of which I cannot play at one point I could play the titles one and it was just a purple screen... any ideas? SYSTEM SPECS: Windows XP w/ SP2 AMD XP 3200 2.19 ghz 768mb ram GeForce 6200 dual 256mb does anyone think just the new intro videos might help? please let me know, thanks... Demarest
This is a public forum. Ask for help here, get help here. Spambots will just mine your email and spam you. Enjoy. If you cannot play the videos, then you already know the source of your issue, which is actually not SA-specific. It's time to start troubleshooting general video playback on your PC. galla35
I think it is something with my graphic drivers because I went to reinstall them and thought what about seeing if the videos work and they did so it has to be something with my graphic drivers, does anyone know a good graphic driver for a geforce 6200 dual 256mb card besides the ones from nvidia? Pranjal
does anyone know a good graphic driver for a geforce 6200 dual 256mb card besides the ones from nvidia? What are you talking about? Only NVIDIA provides the latest driver support for its GPUs.Visit their website and look up for the latest drivers concerning your specific Graphic card. gillies
Pranjal: There are a lot of drivers from OEMs around that aren't always available at the NVIDIA site. galla35: Try getting version 84.29 if you can find them. If you can't, try one from the NVIDIA site that is a bit older than that. The recent drivers have problems with overlays in some configurations and mine is one that is affected by this, if yours is as well it could be the problem you are having with the videos. I have 84.29 which has overlays working properly.
Pranjal
Pranjal: There are a lot of drivers from OEMs around that aren't always available at the NVIDIA site. That option is also there but of worth mention is the fact that the drivers offered by the OEM sites are almost always older than those to be found in the NVIDIA official site. gillies
The archive of drivers on a OEM FTP probably would be, but I meant OEM drivers collected up by places such as guru3d or laptopvideo2go. Those are generally newer than the ones at the NVIDIA site.
