TheDude5000
Quit simple, really. UPDATE: I can see the filenames for files in other folders, and that includes folders that also have thumbnail view enabled. Before this happened, me keyboard screwed up(it's kinda breaking) and enabled some weird sticky keys sort of thing. I could only type in CAPS, and clicking on links in FF would open new windows, clicking on chan names in mirc closed those chans, weird stuff like that. When I went to restart, I noticed there were no filenames in that particular folder. Rebooted, keyboard went back to normal, but still no filenames in that folder. And obviously, in Choose Details, Names is checked. Windows XP Home Edition SP 2. Edited November 21, 2006 by TheDude5000
*gta star*
Do you know how your keyboard screwed up? Did you press any keys ?
TheDude5000
Here's what happens: There is an office/f lock function on this keyboard..I always turn that function off, but lately,(guess my keyboard cord is damaged) moving my keyboard in the wrong direction will turn it back on. This also screws up my key repeat rate(which I can easily repair by going into Control Panel>Keyboard). However, the keyboard screwed up even worse this time. It didn't just re-enable office lock, but it enabled some weird sticky keys sorta thing like I said. I'm thinking I accidentally disabled filenames with some strange command or something. Spenc938
You turn sticky keys on by pressing the shift key five times. All that it does when it is on is make it so that you don't have to hold shift when you type a capital letter. I don't think that has anything to do with your problem. TwoZero
This happens when you hold down shift while changing folder view mode to Tiles, to undo it make sure shift isn't held down (or stickey keys being on) and switch from Tiles to Detail and back again or whatever. Not really a bug, more an undocumented feature which can be neat for viewing picture tiles without annoying filenames that mean nothing.
uNi
Actually you just need to go back to details, press shift again and put in on Tiles again.
