MyMothersMySister
I'm also a convert. I own a PSx, PS2 and PsP but have gotten myself a 360 and have no regrest whatsoever. Not a single problem and the future line up makes me chuckle with glee! Personally I would say go for it. Messiah To The Animals #Cyclop9
Cran.
Went from Sony to MS, too. I had a PSX (loved it to bits) and I really wanted a PS2 when it came out. After a while and playing the Xbox1, I ended up with a nice 120gb modded Xbox Love it. Not sure about getting a 360 right now, there are some nice games, but i'll probably hold out til next year until I get one. I've already got a kickass gaming laptop, and i'm seriously considering getting a Wii before I get a 360. Maybe for xmas.
zeta1
I owned a Playstation 1, a Playstation 2 and had vowed to never even take a glance at the 360 or it's predecessor. And then the PS3's price was announced. So I'm proud to say I love my 360, and it doesn't freeze as long as you don't overuse the dashboard
Tommy B
For me, it's all about the games, period. I had a Playstation, I still have a PS2 and a PSP, but with this generation, I'm jumping ship to the Xbox 360. Why? Because they have more games that I want to play on their system. The only two games I saw coming out for the PS3 that I want (GTA4 and Assassin's Creed) are also coming out on the 360. Besides those, there's just nothing compelling me to buy a PS3. The 360, on the other hand, already has several games I want to play, not to mention backwards compatibility with Xbox games that I might want to play, but not enough to buy the whole system for (like Halo & Halo 2). wade1972
Well, I think I'll take the jump then....Dead Rising is one of the big reasons for it, I want that game!!! Thanks everyone for your opinions, it was appreciated!
Informant X
Bill Gates knows what next generation gaming should be. He may not have jumped on the internet bandwagon when it was first being thought of, but he shure as heck knows how the gaming should be. I too had a ps2 and then switched to an xbox. I noticed the difference greatly. Not only did the xbox have better graphics, but better framerate as well. I was waiting to see how good the ps3 would be, but from the reviews I'll go with the decision I had a few months ago, xbox 360. Also, a majority of the PC originated games are availible for the xbox as well. Edited November 22, 2006 by Informant X
palaric8
everyday I see the same news,PS3 lose esclusive titles...announcements of 360 exclusive titles , PS3 games not worth the 200$ different Im really sad about playstation future,I've seen how the ps1 beat nintendo 64,how the ps2 beat the dreamcast, etc but I can't really see the ps3 beating the 360. staying with the 360,till I see a better future for the ps3.. jizzyman
hehe, I read this topic, did some research, walked to the nearest store, bought a 360+Saints Row, which seems to be a GTA clone, but with better graphics. The system in itself is beautiful, the controllers are well designed, and Xbox Live is pure bliss. I used to be an avid nintendo fanboy

RMT
Got sauce for that? Not trying to catch you out, it's just news to me. I always assumed the N64 was the console of consoles. Pacrel Focre
AlianAnt
Nope. The PS1 and PS2 outsold all the others for their respective generations. Metal up your ass!
Star-Lord
Get the Xbox360 if you would like to play next gen games now as for the PS3 It's a great system and I would suggest to wait aleast a year or so. The developers will be more familiar with the hardware and make better games, Athought it will be aleast a couple yrs. until they can take advantage of it's complex hardware. I have both a PS2 and a Xbox360 and believe me I love both! Both because I can play all my Old favs on the PS2 and play the new games on the 360. And besides have you seen any games played on the PS3 they look like the PS2 tap up a notch! And with the Xbox360 you'll get the chance to watch HD-DVD for only an additional $199.99 which is dirt cheap compare to blueray. Truly I love both consoles......I'm a gamer and I'll go with the one that makes the best games like TommyB. But for now is me and the

Yup, it's true. The PS1 and PS2 quite literally wiped the floor with the N64 and the dreamcast. You probably don't need it now, but here's the source nonetheless with the specific amount of sales for each console. El Linko
All this Crap
I own a PS2, and I've been thinking of getting an Xbox360 but I'm not sure if I should make the leap or not (stick with that until I can afford a PS3). So, I'm putting this up to see if any of you were PS owners who then got an Xbox360...was it worth it? Were there any drawbacks? If you can, get both. You don't have to have them right away now do you? If there are games on the 360 that interest you. Go for it. Get the PS3 when it is widely available and when you have enough money. There is no reason not to get the PS3 if you buy a 360. Is it really necessary for you guys to hate one in order to like the other? XMike
I was at the mall the last 2 days and yesturday we went in 2 stores with a PS3 and a 360. In one store, the PS3 had been frozen for a while, and in the other store, I actually watched the PS3 freeze while someone was playing. 360's worked fine though. I had a PS1 and 2, but maybe I'll make a switch to 360.

Its something we have to get used to as technology gets better in our game consoles.
