if i was to cheat to get a rhino and then undo the cheat would it still be ok to save?

The Rhino cheat is a spawn code - so you don't need to disable it. Once you enter the code, it just produces a Rhino.

 

It is never advisable to save after cheating, but a HUGE majority of people find that spawn code cheats are save-friendly. I'm not endorsing it, though.

thanks i will just wait until i finish the game and then use the rhino

gtafan, if you spawn a rhino, you take your CRIMINAL RATING, and reduce it by one half... ( or goes down a fair bit. )

 

Upon the use of only FOUR button cheats, you become "The Don of all Liars" so unless you want a crappy criminal rating, and not something like "Hitman" or higher ( im not that good, someone give me a better one, ) dont cheat and save.

 

Cheating and saving is fully compatible, but it ruins your criminal rating, which ranks you as a GTA player.

 

Just finish the game first, or cheat and don't save.

 

( Hint, hint, cheat device doesn't affect your criminal rating, but spawing a rhino will. )

I don't know if that's true, but from what I know the only cheats that can affect your savegame in a negative way are the "Peds Riot", "Peds Have Weapons", etc. cheats.

Yeah, those ones are permanent if saved. However, take warning: I originally got GTAIII back in the day and cheated all the way through, using the Rhino spawn cheat on numerous occasions. One day, I loaded the game up and there were Rhinos parked randomly all over the map, sometimes even in the middle of the road. Read into that what you will, but be careful

Thats really strange.... but atleast you will also have a rhino near by!

I wonder if there is a reason for the peds riot cheat having no turn ON/OFF option.. my friend done this cheat in his VC for PS2 and idiotically saved it. It was quite funny watching him trying to do a mission near the start that was turned into a mission like near the end of the game. peds running around with Uzi's and M4's shooting him and especially funny that he couldnt keep a car without someone blowing it up as he drove down the street!

Actually, I had that GTA3 tank thing too. The tanks are where you park them, so in some sense I guess the game stored the locations in memory.

When you finish the story you unlock a Rhino from Fort Baxter. I'm waiting to use that for Vigilante
