Bigs 17
Recently I've been liking None More Black (name comes from the spinal tap line) quite a lot. They were formed from the remnants of Kid Dynamite and I guess they are defined as melodic/hardcore punk.

No Escape? 1
Recently I've been liking None More Black (name comes from the spinal tap line) quite a lot. They were formed from the remnants of Kid Dynamite and I guess they are defined as melodic/hardcore punk. I'm checking them out for nothing more than the name. I recently got into Oi!/Skinhead punk bands such as The Oppressed and Angelic Upstarts. Very good.

You should check out some bands like 'Cockney Rejects', '4 Skins' and 'Last Resort'. I also reccomend you to check out a band called 'Decibelios', the first ever and the best Oi! band in Spain. Oi! tuff_luv_capo 981
The only thing I've learned from this topic is that anything popular sucks, and you're only cool if you know a band who couldn't get hired at an airport bar.

Suicidal Tendencies GG Allin Black Flag Dead Kennedys Cancerslug The Melvins Kind of a stretch calling The Melvins a "punk" band really. Then again, I guess you could fit them into any genre if you tried hard enough. They even did a couple of country songs on The Crybaby, although they were just covers. As for punk bands, I don't like many, but the few I listen to: Authority Zero Spooky Fruit The Tossers Propagandhi

TheJonesy 1
I don't understand the mentality behind "real" punk bands... I mean, some people like the sing-song pop melodies of "fake" punk music, so they're obviously not going to be drawn to "real" punk bands that have no regard for melodies with mainstream appeal or in some cases (sex pistols), music at all. I'm not downing old school punk, but give people a break. Bands like sum 41, blink 182, and good charlotte make great pop songs, and theres nothing wrong with listening to pop music. Would you consider pop rock to be a less rebellious and crude version of punk?

Ph3L1z14n0 1
Sex Pistols are always hailed as the greatest punk band. Personally, I think that's a whole lot down to Sid Vicious's suicide. As a band, they had so littke musical talent that they were left to rely of shock tactics.Admittedly, that gained them commercial success, but the ability to play their instruments was more or less non-existant. dude, punk is a music genre which lacks musical prowess, it's a fact and it's what makes it so cool, nevertheless there are bands like the OFFSPRING (the best punk band deffinitely) that have a lot of talent when talking about playing instruments
