I already posted this to the other topic but I post it again here.

A little to east from Kaufman Cabs there's a billboard saying "R* Lax".

In some safehouses there's also cans of Sprunk (remember the drink advertised in San Andreas?) on the kitchen.

Eh, I know i bumped this, but I (and Greene, who initially noticed it smile.gif ) found that Armando Mendez bears a striking resemblance and has a similar personality to Scarface's own, Alejandro Sosa. I guess this could be an easter egg, if you want to add it.

I'll back up ybakker to confirm the easter egg smile.gif

the first is: Armando is a carbon-copy of Alejandro Sosa, from Scarface

the second is: That both Armando and Diego, is in the name of the famous Argentine football (soccer) player, Diego Armando Maradona. (credit gohan_14 for that one)

Les Beans from GTA: Liberty City Stories is back in GTA: Vice City Stories. You can find Les Beans in Downtown near King Knuts. There should be a Streetfighter motorcycle parked around there.

Also the Hitmen from GTA: Liberty City Stories is back in GTA: Vice City Stories. You also get to use them again in GTA: Vice City Stories multiplayer.

Plus that movie billboard called Short Deal Don's Revenge you see in the window in front of your safehouse in Vice Point, the movie title has the same font as Liberty City Stories.

And, sticking with multiplayer, the VCPD cop character's name is "T.J. Sucker'' and obvious satire/spoof on William Shatner's cop character, "T.J. Hooker", from the series with the same name.

The chance of a moderator seeing that is not high, so report your post next time or PM a moderator and ask. I did it for you this time.

Another one!!

If you see around Vice City, there are billboards, or other advertisements that have R*LAX on them.

See the example:

.

It advertises R*LAX. Now look here, a closeup:

.

Notice PTGateaux. This is an obvious reference to the famous outdoor advertising company JCDecaux, founded in France. It was established in the UK in 1983. (I don't know when it was established in the US.)

Gateaux is actually a French word meaning "cake". Probably mocking the French person's name who founded JCDecaux, Jean-Claude Decaux himself. But I dunno what the PT stands for...

I havent noticed it until now. Is it in any other GTAs?

ok. well then. another one.

there are a bunch of billboards showing movie advertisements like "top shelf" "the secret of my shortness" and "short deal" featuring Kenny Barty.

Kenny Baker and Billy Barty are both short actors. (Kenny Baker plays R2D2). and "Kenny Barty" is an obvious combination of the two.

Kenny Barty plays the character "Don Liebezwerg" and i think zwerg (in german) means dwarf. im not sure.

perhaps these two actors were quite popular in 1984. and thats why R* included them.

Here is one.

The Domestobot used in the game looks like an enlarged version of the 1980's Nintendo product, the R.O.B.:

Yeah I'm sorry that I wasn't able to get a pic of that "R*LAX" ad. Can someone get also a pic of the Los Santos billboard which is a little south from Pole Position Strip Club? I don't remember what it says but since Los Santos is mentioned in it isn't it a Easter Egg?

The "Secret Of My Shortness" is a parody of "The Secret Of My Success", a Michael J. Fox movie. I think they even use the same font and the dollar signs for S's. Fox is a pretty short actor too. Also an awesome one. Not sure what the other movie advertisements refer to. Where are they by the way? I know one's in Little Haiti, one's across the street from the midway apartment, but where's the other?

Nah, the font isn't really the same... But "Kenny Barty" is posing the same way Michael J. Fox is. "The Secret of My Success" is actually made in 1987... "Liebezwerg" kinda means "Love Dwarf" in German. (I looked it up now). So all the posters are paying tribute to (or mocking) the short actors of the time.

Another easter egg: Rubik's Cube is "Quube":

And the "Les Beans": (found by MC_320, I'm just providing an image)

A better picture of the "Barzini" Restaurant (again, I'm just providing an image):

Barzini's is basically a tribute to The Godfather, one of the five New York families in the novel were the Barzinis.
