I think most of the helpers here only has PSP, and are likely to be confused if you don't clearly state that your SnP request is for PS2!

 

If needed I can complete SnP requests for PS2 (EU/Pal) VCS and LCS.

 

The Save needs to be in MaxDrive/ARMax? format (.max) or in a format that can easily be converted to Max format with PS2 Savebuilder (don't know if that actually works?)

Please state in your request which saveslot should be loaded and in which saveslot you want the result saved.

Beware that I might have problems with downloading off Rapidshare (and other hosts with pr. IP limits), since I'm on a shared line. So if possible use a service without such limits, - like http://www.filefront.com

Please hose the hoes, I'm almost certain the ps2 port is buggy on this mission. Watched youtube walkthroughs, but basicly the flames won't go out (even those the arrows are pointing at them). I just can't get the firetruck's hose high enough to actually reach the flames, don't have 5 hands (it seems that you have to - driving and controlling the hose at the same time - wtf?), and am 1 step away from taking the game back. Don't worry about cheating, the game is hard enough for me with cheats, so I don't mind if you do. If you can do all of these useless luanne missions (I think there are only 2 other than this), I would be most greatful, and there's a in it for you too

I should have quoted you above for the problem with the hoes, but anyway - do you know of anyone with a 100% ps2 VCS save? Only been able to find a 50% PAL one... and as for this and future requests, if you have a save on hand that is just a few missions "later" than the one I requested, don't bother about playing mine, just give me the link for the already-upped save - I don't care whether it's mine or not (unless the original SnP'er objects...)

 

My saves should be in max format, I just copy them across to the max drive.

 

Will include an alternate link to the file that isn't rapidshare too.

 

EDIT: Filefront requires registration. GTA Freak, if you're willing to help me out a little seeing you're about the only ps2 member here, I'll sign up, but I'd like a no-registration account that is useable for everyone (think a few were advertised for SA SnP).

Just a thought, - are you using 1. person view? Using the firehose is pretty difficult in 1. p view due to the limited view.

I very rarely use 1. p view in any GTA game.

 

Robbing the Cradle is a straight forward mission (performing a drive-by and ramming a car around a bit).

I saved in separate slots, so you can have a go yourself.

 

Filefront does allow anonymous up/download, it just tries very hard to persuade you to register.

When you get to the page with "Join Filefront" and "Sign Up", just get the link for your file and ignore all the boxes.

Beware that the text might be truncated, - so right-click and "Copy Shortcut" or follow the link and copy the full URL from the Address bar.

Only up to trying "robbing the cradle" atm...

 

I've tried to use the firehose in all configurations, but still no luck. Anyway, RtC is by no means straightforward for me - I've never done a drive-by in GTA in my life - driving, AND shooting, is just impossible for me, and the disorientating non-1st person views just make it worse. Tried ramming, too - usually, the thugs blow up, and of course are near the welfare guy, blowing him up too. I've actually have welfare guy survive, but no amount of ramming him helped. The problem is, there's no such thing as a cheat for damage-proof vehicles in this game, so I smash into welfare guy a few times, have to change cars, spend ages catching up, (have lost him a few times), and end up having to change cars - rinse and repeat. Will have another few goes and will edit the post depending on the outcome.

 

Had a bit of trouble with (insert missions where you have to chase cars or have meters, or have to protect AI here), but the one on the ship, once you get ON there, is amazingly easy. Simply shoot everyone and collect the contraband.

 

"But what about getting shot?" one may ask... well, I use button cheats whenever possible, and AR max codes all the time. So I don't mind anyone using any means whatsoever to get past any mission I post (Though it seems GTA Phreak is the only one that has this on ps2, and before I came along, the last post was 3 months ago!).

 

GTA Phreak, any cheat where you can make drivers you're chasing simply get out of the car, or freeze the game clock, would make it much easier for me, if such codes exist. Also, when you get my saves, do you uncrush them, copy them, or both? Because I have no idea whether the ones I get online are crushed or not - I just do both. Also, does converting *insert save format here* to AR max actually work? And, have you ever had any luck converting NTSC-PAL saves?

 

I appreciate you getting me past "hose the hoes" - especially when it seems you're the only person with a PS2 copy and an AR max on here that can help me out of a jam. As for your save collection - something nice would be if someone where to up saves from various points (even the start of all missions, as has been done for SA) - or just points before major characters are introduced - that's actually something I wouldn't mind instead of having to rely on SnP, as you don't have to bother upping your save and having someone actually go through it - which is a good trade-off for missing part of the story, in my book (would be good if it was possible to simply view the cutscenes you missed) - know of any such saves online?

Notes: Getting past all of these helicopter missions given by Mendez, and race missions offered by the transvestive would be appreciated - I undertand that's a bit of an ask, but you can cheat or modify my game to however you please. I understand there are a few heli missions after this one, I'd appreciate them being played, as I'm pretty sure I'd just have to turn to you guys again - saves me wearing out my ps2 by firing up AR max, saves you having to go back to SnP missions I can't do.

 

I just cannot move the heli forward fast enough, letalone manouver it (keep in mind I have a hard time even driving!)

Missions: right to the end (about 3 missions) - tried my hardest with them all, thanks to GTA Phreaks' save repository, found the mission where you're shooting from the heli, the sniper mission (they always duck out of the way and bam, time has run out) and the final mission (can't pilot for nuts) pretty much impossible.

I sure hope they aren't very, very long missions. I believe the slot is "steal the deal" (seeing as I can't get past "the exchange" which would be one mission after) - just the bare minimum missions nessecary to get me through to the end of the storyline.

Hi GTAPhreak, could you also do Farewell to Arms (next mission in line). I've tried about 15 times and as the Sharks enter the runway the plane gets destroyed and sometimes i cant even pass the bit where the car stalls!

What you have is the "Greatest Hits" version:

 

 

Since a "Greatest Hits" version has been released, people should specify "US-OEM" or "US-GH" to disinguish between the two version because the game saves are NOT compatible. I started with the "US-GH" version and my PSP scratched the disk making it unplayable. I now have the "US-OEM" version and had to start all over . I hope this information helps out.
