I'm not sure about that. Everton will probably finish in a European spot, but I don't think they'll finish fourth. That position will of course go to Manchester United.

 

Mind you, a couple of years ago I was convinced Everton wouldn't finish the season in a Champion's League position, and they did, so you never know.

 

EDIT: I just noticed you were talking about Everton being anywhere in the top four, not fourth. I really should pay more attention when I'm reading posts.

I hope he doesn't go. True, he doesn't score too many goals but he always seems to do his best for the team. It would be a shame if he went instead of others (Voronin and Arbeloa spring to mind.)

Kuyt, I thought he did well last season but he's badly lacking in confidence at the moment and Kuyt alongside Voronin up front, really doesn't work. I don't think he's been used well either, tactically. He's dropping deep and playing up on his own (i.e. Blackburn), or alongside Voronin (Birmingham and Besiktas away), who is also playing deep. He's not looking like a £10m player but when he first joined he did.

And what a great result that is considering our recent performances. Portsmouth have won like 7 games in a row in away fixtures so that's a double plus. Just hope we can try and build something up now and get some great performances from all players in the festive period.

That's the good thing about having a big squad with quality all the way through over the Christmas schedule- you could put out a full strength team every game. Get some good results over the next month and the confidence will come flooding back, leading Liverpool to an unbeaten run from now until May. I hope.

All You English ones can watch Northern Ireland the Big two Derby on Boxing Day as Linfield Play Rivals Glentoran. Both teams have been on Sky Sports this season. Glentoran played Manchester United in August in a Friendly, while Linfield played Cliftonville in September.

Dida is such a good hearted person. After the flare incident and all the years of abuse, he still finds it in his heart to give us a great Christmas present. Maybe it's the Christmas time but I actually felt kinda bad for him. I mean, I have laughed to the suffering of Pirlo, Gattuzoo, Rat face-Inzaghi, Ambrosini, Kaka and all the other's for days now. But seeing Dida's face after the goal just broke my heart. He's so cute after all.

I was watching Football Focus (a show aired on ESPN for Asia) where all the 'experts' had Liverpool taking 9 points from their next 3 games. Frankly, I don't see that happening. They also said that we've no chance against Inter, which I tend to agree with slightly. Hope I'm wrong on both counts.

 

Liverpool and United do have relatively easier games over the holiday period as against Arsenal and Chelsea. Even so, Man City away is tricky.
