The chance to knock out you rivals in a quarter final game should have been strong enough to play a full strength team like the other 7 clubs did in their matches. And against Chelsea anyway you should always play your best team, i mean i've said it before and i'll say it again who leaves a 23 million pound striker at home when your playing Chelsea.

I'm sure playing atleast 1 game at the minimum, maybe a 2nd game if we got to the final would not harm any title challenges.

 

I reckon we're still in with a chance if we win our game in hand and carry on getting decent results until the end of the year. But going to the Emirates, Old Trafford (theatre of wet dreams) and Stamford bridge looking for wins will be a mighty tough challenge.

Sorry, really off-topic, but how can you use "would of" when you know that it's "would have"? I'm sorry, it's just that I do a lot of proof-reading at university.

 

I didn't see the game last night, but I didn't expect Liverpool to win. We shouldn't be surprised either: this is the regular Christmas-time napping period for the team, when we derail the current season and start thinking about the next.

 

I wish Liverpool and Everton play in the European Super Cup next year.

My excuse, erm.. i was tired, yeah that will do.

 

Anyway back onto football, good win for Everton tonight especially in those freezing conditions it was supposed to be -2 degrees there but 18 degrees because of the under pitch heater but i still looked bloody cold as you could tell by the Everton players when they weren't doing nothing, feel sorry for the keepers as their not running around much.

 

The way the AZ players played today i find it hard how they've never lost a home European match ever they were quite poor especially considering it was a "second" string Everton side.

 

Good to see 8 British teams going through to the next stages of their European quests, shows how well British football is getting.

 

Oh and the Milan derby is on Channel 5 aswell, should be a cracking match.
