They were okish against the lesser teams who could be classed in their skill range and they had some decent chances against both Iraq and South Africa, they just needed a decent forward who could of put a few of them chances away as who ever they had upfront against Iraq fluffed so many decent chances.

 

I think the 5-0 drubbing Spain give them sort of ended their chances of having the best defence record lol. Reminds me of Ukraine i think who got eliminated from the 2006 World Cup without conceding a goal.

On the Confederations Cup, I'm hoping for a Spain v Brazil final, to really put the Brazil's team to the test. Nearly failed against Egypt, had a decent game vs USA, and now facing a very out of form Italy side. Hopefully Italy will get something out of the game and qualify.

I think he is talking about Iraq. It might help Owen a bit, Real Madrid didn't sign Ronaldinho in 2003, allegedly because the marketing department said he was "too ugly", instead they signed Beckham for a similar fee. That's a decision the footballing side of the club probably regrets, but I'd reckon the business side is quite happy about.

Yeah, Holland put about 6 past Iceland and that, whereas Belgium only put about 2 past them. They were much more consistent, but in the days before playoffs, that sometimes wasn't enough.
