Anyone think Ashley Young will go to Real Madrid?

In my opinion, Ramos can f*ck off. I just think Ashley's enjoying the freedom and the way Villa are playing at the moment, he won't get as many last minute goals or fast paced play if he leaves for the spanish league.

I also think it's better for English football is Ashley stays at Villa, I think Real Madrid will ruin him in all honesty.

Seddo: go for it mate!

Whilst I agree that Madrid would probably ruin him (they have a habit of doing that to many players), I completely disagree with the above comment. The Spanish league is the most open, fast-paced in Europe.

That's your opinion, fair enough smile.gif .

Anyway, who would everyone have taking their free-kicks if they were a manager with any player available?

Juninho, without doubt. Fantastic! tounge.gif

Same here, that's the first person that come to my mind when reading the question.

Is he still at Lyon?.

Yeah, although he might be retiring next season. He recently said he saw the reaction to Gerrard getting 100 goals and he wants to do the same before he finishes, he's on about 94 now.

Derby just scored a lovely goal against the Mancs... doubt they'll hang on though, especially over both legs.

I can't believe we're losing to a team who Forest Green Rovers managed to hit 3 against.

Still Beckham for me.

Same here. He's a cheating bastard, but one hell of a free-kick taker.

Le Tissier. But I would say that being a Saints fan. Mind you Matt could score free kicks from further out.

Honestly? Predrag Đorđević of Olympiakos is a great free kick taker. Or David Beckham, or Cristiano.

Well Gerrard maybe getting a transfer to HMP United. So dont worry about not saying him!

Man City have had rejected offers for Santa Cruz, Bellamy and Parker! Talk about sqeezing the purse.

Looks like they will have to pay silly money for average players if they want them.

...in history?

There'd be a long list for me, Juninho would be in it, so would Zico, Platini, Koeman, Mihajlovic, Del Piero, Baggio, Tarnat, Beckham (more so for the asists), oh and, Jonny Metgod!

...as well as many more.

Well Ronaldo has written of a Ferrari on his way to work training and escaped without injury and then he drives home in a Bentley. My excitement today was sliding off my push bike when going to work tounge.gif.

That freekick was quality Flicko.

Looking on the official Liverpool site for match tickets and the requirements for the F.A cup game is daft. "Must have Luton Town (15/1/08), Havant & Waterlooville (26/1/08) and Barnsley (16/2/08) recorded on Members/Fancard". Why must you have 3 games from last season to watch a game this season? notify.gif.

But you can seem to ring a number up of a ticket company and get tickets without even having been to those games. This is my new way of getting tickets, seems to work cool.gif.

My favourites would include-

-Obviouly the Jonny Metgod goal

-Jay Jay Okocha for Bolotn against somebody in the League cup

-Michael Tarnat for Bayern Munich against Dusseldorf?

-Roberto Carlos aginst France

-Juninho Pernambucano against Werder Bremen

-Jon Arne Riise against Man Utd

...and about 3.5 million more...

Probably the best, and least important free kick you will ever see

I remember watching that on Sky Three mercie_blink.gif

Great free kick, had a feelng about it.

Rogério Ceni without a doubt. Scored nearly 80 goals in his career, and even when it doesn't go in, the striker can totally put it away, just like the last game last year. Second choice would be Beckham.

Yeah, a great freekick and a very important one.

Shame it capped such a sh*t performance from the rest of the England squad.

Benitez today...oh my word, he said he didn't want to play any mind games with Ferguson, then he went on to read a big prepared list of all the problems he has with Ferguson off a sheet of paper.

Benitez today...oh my word, he said he didn't want to play any mind games with Ferguson, then he went on to read a big prepared list of all the problems he has with Ferguson off a sheet of paper.

He actually said nothing at all about not wanting to play mind games with Ferguson: "I want to be clear, I do not want to play mind games too early, although they seem to want to start." Note the "too early" part.

And I'm unable to see how Benitez, who made what the vast majority of people will see as some valid points, calmy and really, not at all furiously as the hyperbolic media have claimed, can be compared with Keegan, who lost it, started crying on live television five minutes after a game and then proceeded to act like a four year old.

It does seem a little odd though, Rafa getting involved properly in the mind games, haha.

Mmm...the fact he has compiled a list of all the problems he has with Ferguson and has read it out in public doesn't suggest the pressure's getting to him at all. The problem with Benitez trying mind games is that Ferguson invariably wins them.

Its about time that someone did it aswell because as a United fan it hard for you to see but Fergie does get away with a hell of alot than other managers like Gary Megson or Big Sam would never get away with th amount Fergie has said ove the past ten years or so.

Yeah, well Fergie is a respected manager. He's been coaching for about 23 years now.
