Sheffield Wednesday vs Fulham - I'll take that.

Middsbrough vs Barrow - Good draw for them.

Chelsea vs Southend - Good draw for Southend.

Southampton vs Man Utd - Zzzzz....

Notts County/Kettering vs Eastwood - Decent.

Macclesfield vs Everton - Top draw.

Ok draw, no really great ties, but a few games have some potential there.

Notts County/Kettering vs Eastwood - Decent.

Holy sh*t, that's f*cking mental!

I still can't believe they've got this far, and they have a real chance of progressing further. What's worse is that they're in the same league as Ilkeston, and we won them comfortably earlier in the season. The envy's glaring from me!

It would be brilliant if Eastwood managed to get into the Fourth Round, if not there's still County and Kettering to continue the Lower League Run in the FA Cup which is what the FA Cup's all about!

Everton won! Suprised really. Must have been a pretty close match.

Cant wait for MOTD, looks like a good day of football.

First goal was ridiculously offside... Didn't see the second goal yet. Unlucky Chelsea, had so many chances squandered.. But such is football colgate.gif

I'm glad Everton beat Spurs, ever since 'Arry moved to Spurs his smug face makes me want to punch him.

I'm sure Incey is under alot of pressure now as Blackburn got another defeat, Adam's doing well in his last few games.

Chelsea, had so many chances squandered..

United missed loads of decent chances against Arsenal and look how that result turned out.

Liverpool MUST win against West Ham tomorrow night, we can't fail to capitalise on a Chelsea result for the second week running (assuming Chelsea do actaully lose or draw the game).

Well done Histon. The match was on the tv while I was at work, great result for them. Next round will probably end up canceling any outstanding debt they have, regardless of result. icon14.gif

Chelsea were unlucky. I'm very happy with the result because Arsenal winning is the lesser of two evils in my mind but I don't think Chelsea deserved to lose on that performance.

Southampton vs Man Utd - Zzzzz....

Well that's us out, though if United choose to field their second hand/reserve/youth team we may have a slight chance. I was hoping for a team from a division bellow us just to get at least a round further. That said we need to concentrate on our league form more than anything at the moment being precariously above the relegation zone.

Argh, bad feeling about today. My prediction: 2-1 Arsenal, us to go ahead early with Anelka then Van Persie to equalize with Gallas (!) getting a late winner and Arsenal fans to love him again rolleyes.gif .

Discuss.

I didn't realise the F.A cup 3rd round draw had been made today, looking at Sky Sports we've got a short trip to Preston. Not to bad of an opponent considering who we could have been paired up, i see this as a comfortable 4th round passage assuming the players actually take it seriously this year, lets have a repeat of 2006 please smile.gif.

Full draw for the lazy bums.

Portsmouth v Bristol City

Sheffield Wednesday v Fulham

Preston v Liverpool

Birmingham City v Wolves

West Ham United v Barnsley

Middlesbrough v Barrow

Hull City v Newcastle United

Hartlepool United v Stoke City

Chelsea v Southend

Manchester City v Nottingham Forest

Cardiff City v Reading

Ipswich v Chesterfield or Droylsden

Charlton Athletic v Norwich

West Brom v Peterborough or Tranmere

Torquay v Blackpool

Leyton Orient v Sheffield United

Southampton v Manchester United

Millwall v Carlisle or Crewe

Histon v Swansea City

Forest Green v Derby

QPR v Burnley

Leicester v Crystal Palace

Tottenham v Wigan

Morecambe or Cheltenham v Doncaster Rovers

Arsenal v Plymouth Argyle

Notts County or Kettering Town v Eastwood Town

Bournemouth or Blyth Spartans v Blackburn Rovers

Macclesfield Town v Everton

Watford v Sc*nthorpe United

Sunderland v Bolton

Coventry City v Kidderminster

Gillingham or Stockport County v Aston Villa

I feel ok with that fixture it could of been easier for us but again on the other hand it could of been a tougher draw. So i can only see us going throught to the 4th.

What the hell was that queen Ronaldo doing today anyway? What was he scared the ball might hit his face, only thing i can think of. Guy needs to grow a pair.

It was a very strange decision, but he did obviously think that the whistle had gone. Most players would block the ball rather than just allowing it to smash into their face in order to prove their manliness to opposition fans.

He played an important role in the goal yesterday, scored at Chelsea, and we have only lost 3 games with him in the side since the start of 2007. I don't know what more you want from him to be honest.

Of course he believed the whistle went, why else would be put his hands in the air to stop the ball? There is literally no reason for this. Maybe he stuck his hands up because he'd lost concentration, as I said it was a very strange decision (by him) but he shouldn't have received a booking for it according to the laws of the game. Having said that I can see why Webb did send him off.

Isnt the law of the game (which it is) if you touch the ball with any parts of your hands (and your not the goalkeeper and it isnt a dead ball situation) that your going to get booked or sent off. There isnt no face protection rule like there is in the school playground.

By the laws of the game a deliberate handball doesn't warrant a yellow card!? I think you'll find it does, and the referee did completely the right thing sending Ronaldo off. True there may be something to it, like he heard a whistle, but the ref didn't touch his whistle until Ronaldo handled the ball. By the laws of the game, in that situation, the ref would be stupid to not give Ronaldo a yellow card for that.

That said, I agree that Ronaldo made a strange decision, why the f*ck would he punch the ball, instead of heading it towards the goal, whether he'd heard the whistle or not. Crazy.

Anyway, I see Forest have got a very tough draw against Man City, I can see us getting something out of it, though.

The goal he scored at Stamford Bridge was a tap-in. He's just not strong enough to play in the Premiership; most of the time he's involved in a play, he f*cks it up. He should swap him for Tevez, making a three-pronged attack, which would do more.

Just because Ferguson is a good manager doesn't mean that he's perfect. confused.gif

Do not speak to me as if I am a child. it is stated in the laws of the game that a deliberate handball does not usually warrant a yellow card, I assume that, as Gullit and Jamie "Retard" Redknapp were discussing yesterday, it is only a yellow if the player is seeking to gain an advantage.

Correct
I think you'll find it does,

Common Misconception

In Fifa's Laws of the Game 2005, Law 12 says a free-kick or penalty will be awarded if a player "handles the ball deliberately (except for the goalkeeper within his own penalty area)".

Page 67 of the document gives "additional information for referees, assistant referees and fourth officials".

It adds: "Referees are reminded that deliberately handling the ball is normally punished only by a direct free-kick or penalty kick if the offence occurred inside the penalty area.

"A caution or dismissal is not normally required."

it is only a yellow if the player is seeking to gain an advantage

The instant the referee saw Ronaldo handle the ball, he would have surely assumed he was trying to gain an unfair advantage by raising his hands, and made the correct decision in giving him a yellow card. By the laws of the game, the referee did nothing wrong.

Anyway, there's no need to bicker over this, Cristiano Ronaldo deliberately handled the ball, and it did warrant a yellow card, in my opinion. It was unfortunate he was already on a yellow, as I think he won the ball when he tackled Wright-Phillips, but that's the way the game goes.

Cant believe its even being discussed to be honest.

He deserved the second yellow. Simple as. Even Fergie didnt argue.
