Lol Chelsea and fat Frank got sent off cool.gif.

Any of the English side can dispose of Inter anyway, just like the 'pool last season.

Liverpool comfortably through with Atletico, all down to the last game to decide the group winners with Liverpool only 1 goal behind in goal difference.

I'm hoping that Atlethico go through, not because I hate Liverpool. More that I hope we get drawn with them as they are my favourite trip outside of Fulham.

Jesus, that Arsenal game was dull. Well, up until the last six minutes, anyway. Great finish from Bendtner, and clever play from Fabregas to set it up.

What can i say but its Aresnal they are boring (unless they play Liverpool of course) I was hoping that Dynamo Kyiv would beat them last night but oh well.

Cant see anything but a decent performance from us tonight Marseille are ok but not enough to worry about.

Uhh what?

I think he's watching Arsenal repeats from when George Graham was still manger.

No no its definetly this Arsenal team that i am watching. Same old sh*t with them. Only interseting that that ive seen Arenal do in the past month is when Gallas came out and said what he did. Id be surprised if Arsenal finish in the top 4 this year, there just letting to many in this year, plus there losing against teams that they think they should be winning, Arsenal aint got the money or the players they need to compete this year and be surprised if they will next year.

Don't forget that in the last month (8th of November), Arsenal managed to beat the reigning champions, Manchester United, who I would definitely consider as an 'important team to beat'. And by all accounts they certainly were not playing boring football.

...having also lost to Man City, Villa and Stoke in November, scoring one goal in all three games. Hardly scintillating stuff. I think they really, really miss the leadership that characters like Henry, Vieira and even Gallas have offered them up until recently. That and the fact that their average age is about 22. When their heads go down, they tend to stay down, which we've not seen happen over the last six years or so.

Athletico and Liverpool are both through to the next round, but it isnt certain whos finishing top as Athletico have a 1 GD better than Liverpool, but whoever we end up playing in the next round will be a good game as were in it. Haha.

Why do you have to turn every single statement or comment on to Liverpool?. Liverpool, did this, Liverpool did that. A certain Liverpool play done that and this.

And we all know players get special treatment for the bad things they do and the fans get the worse stick for it.

kie, while I'm in no way condoning Carragher's actions a few years back, he was, after all, retaliating and didn't throw it first. Note that I also avoided berating Drogba for doing the same thing; would have been very hypocritical.

Retaliating by throwing an object, coin or otherwise, back into the crowd is stupid, but I can understand someone doing so. A fan throwing something, though, I'm disgusted with. What's the need?

And may I repeat Seddo's point that perhaps you could post something not relating to Liverpool in any way, shape or form? Thank you.

What they said, kietotheworld. Seriously, that's just acting like you have a case of the douche. confused.gif

Did Gerrard throw it back? I can't imagine him doing so, and if he didn't then good on him for not doing so. The c*nt that threw it at him should be banned for life, because that could have gotten into his eye, and could have left him blind. sad.gif

Struff Bunstridge: I'm aware of that, however it was only 3 weeks ago that they played brilliantly against Manchester United, who aren't exactly a sh*t team. My point is that I think Arsenal are in a pit of a blue patch at the moment, and once Fabregas starts getting used to being captain, I think results will start to turn their way. I think it's too late to be thinking about the premiership, but who knows...

No, he got on with the game and just shaked his head in the general direction of where it came from. To tell you how little of a fuss he made I didn't even realise he'd been hit at the time, only saw it on Sky Sports News this morning.

Well good on him, that's how it should be. Now the c*nt who threw it is getting punished, as opposed to Gerrard being punished.

On that note, whatever happened to the bloke who threw the coin at Drogba?

Yes i was watching the game aswell and never noticed anything until i read it in the newspaper yearterday. Seems to be a growing trend these days, i know its happened quite a bit in the past but not on such a regular basis it seems. However i dont see anything that FIFA can do to stop it, you can ban people all you want but there will always be one idiot.

It's not because it's Liverpool, it's because someone's calling for an extreme punishment for something similar to what one of their club's best players did. I would have said something similar about Drogba had a Chelsea fan made a similar comment. You throw a coin back your chances of hitting the person who initially threw it are very slim, far slimmer than you chances of being hit by it in the first place.

Gary Neville has kicked the ball into the crowd once. Quite a few years back. I can't remember what punishment he got for it. Rio's done it in frustration: once kicking the ball at Man Utd fans and then once again with kicking that steward.

I don't know what you're trying to prove here.

That banning a fan for life is an extreme punishment.

That banning a fan for life is an extreme punishment.

Did I say it wasn't?

Well you suggested it as a suitable punishment, generally one does not suggest punishments one sees as extreme. Perhaps excessive would be a better word to use.

United have gained a work permit for Serbian (cue pant explosion from Stefan.) Winger Zoran Tosic.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson attended a hearing for the Tosic on Friday, and the player will arrive at Old Trafford from Partizan Belgrade in January.

United have not confirmed the fee they have agreed for him, although reports have suggested a valuation of £8m.

The Home Office examined his case because he has played in less than half of his national team's recent games.

Tosic - nicknamed Bambi because of his lean build - has appeared 12 times for his country and can play on either flank, having also starred for Serbia's Under-21 side.

He will join countryman Nemanja Vidic at Old Trafford, with the prospect of more to come as another Partizan player Adam Ljajic, 19, is also reported to be in talks with United.

Old Trafford officials are staying silent on the subject, however, insisting there have been no developments.

Although Belgrade say that no agreement has been reached. Strange situation.

Last Sunday on the Serbian News the head of Partizan confirmed it. icon14.gif

They're f*cking good players though. Ljajic is only 17 and he's already been called up to the national team, no matter what country it is, that's still a f*cking good achievement. They'll probably only make the reserve team though.

Tosic is pretty good as well, kind of reminds me of Giggs, except not as skillful and experienced. He hesitates too much with the ball, and can kind of f*ck up in easy situations.

Dean Windass has just been booked, and he's not even on the pitch!

He was warming up deliberately in the way of Rory Delap, as he was gearing up for one of his long throws! lol.gif

And wow.gif at Eastwood Town winning against Wycombe!

Let secure our 4th spot today against Fulham. icon14.gif

Going for a 2-0 win.

Well that didnt happen did it. smile.gif

Just five games today and not alot of shocks kinda how you would expect things to go. Suppose Bolton winning 4-1 was unexpected but the way Sunderland has been playing of late it was going to come. Stoke drawing with Hull is a decent result for both. The better games are going to be played tommorow.

Cant see us losing to West Ham im saying 2 - 1.

Is Ljajic still on trial? From what I've heard he's pretty damn good icon14.gif

On a side notish thing:

Serbia have been having some good young players in recent times:

Bojan Krkic,

Slobodan Rajkovic,

Branislav Ivanovic,

Nemanja Vidic (a few years ago),

And now Tosic and Ljajic.

And again, it would be quite scary if Yugoslavia had stayed together, then:

Ivan Rakitic,

Luka Modric,

Goran Pandev,

Would've also been thrown into the mix.

Interesting.

Yeah, some say if they stayed together we would have won the World Cup. And it's nice to hear comments from my dad saying that "Serbia haven't played like this since it was Yugoslavia", which is very encouraging. icon14.gif

As for Bojan Krkic, I can only hope he chooses Serbia over Spain. He should pick us; they already have enough good players. tounge.gif

Yet another case of stockpiling talent. A waste. Many teams are guilty of it. FIFA should moved towards making some limits to it. It robs the club of it's up-coming stars at a cheap cost; rather than letting them develop, putting a few good seasons into the club, getting some success, and then selling them for a nice sum of cash.

Also, I'd hardly class Bojan as a Serb. He's spent his whole life in Spain, I think? Or at least most of it. And he owes it to Spanish football since that's the reason why he's got this far.

Hey flicko, Nottingham Forest are off the bottom, beating Barnsley 1-0. THink they'll end up staying up?

I'm not too sure. Every match report says that we play the best football every game, but never score the goals, which if we carry on doing, we won't survive. Everything at the moment is positive, except for the fact we can't score. Hopefully after yesterday things will change for the better.

Argh, bad feeling about today. My prediction: 2-1 Arsenal, us to go ahead early with Anelka then Van Persie to equalize with Gallas (!) getting a late winner and Arsenal fans to love him again rolleyes.gif .
