I watched a bit of the match while i was eating my tea but then i went on the 360 and missed the a big chunk of the match. I've been watching Sky Sports all last night and this morning and not once have they shown the goals and the hand ball.

This sounds all too familiar, almost mirroring his words from a few weeks ago. I'm interested in seeing who these players are that he's after, since below this article is about a Guinean defender on trial with us, and Atouba from Hamburg, formerly from Spurs. Both defenders, so I'm not exactly thrilled.

Atouba can't do sh*t. He's good at collecting red and yellow cards, though. I really dont know what Newcaste expect him to do. Do they think he can help them???

He plays a blinder against everyone! Given is our saviour. He's taken for granted now, I think. But he's kept us in games and is probably the best keeper I've seen, no exaggerations either. If it wasn't for him, we'd be playing in the Blue Square Premier by now.

 

And Der_Don, I also don't see the point in buying him. It's just so that Keegan can say he's been busy in the transfer window. We don't need another left back (I think that's his position?), since we have Jose Enrique doing a good job, N'Zogbia if needed, as well as Bassong whose left-footed so could be called in if worse comes to worst. In fact, I'd go as far as saying the defence is probably the best I've seen it in a long time.

 

Our lack is now a right-winger, thanks to the sale of Milner, and a striker. My cousin mentioned we were after some Norwegian winger, but I haven't heard anything of it yet.

We could be joining the 3-0 club with our recent performances but on the other hand Villa got beat by Stoke and we have somehow managed to scrape the results we need. With Gerrard injured it could give the other players more responsibility, it's going to be very close.

 

Also i'm pretty chuffed Gareth Southgate seems to be doing well, it's always good to see young English managers learning the trade. Roy Keane doesn't seem to be doing to bad, he's slowly building a side that's capable of staying in the Premier League.

@Eminence, I'm quietly optimistic, Villa are a tough side especially at home and in recent seasons the games have always been close, atleast the Masher is back he'll be running everywhere, hopefully El Zhar gets more than 10 minutes on the pitch.
