Just come back from my cousin's house, both my uncle and cousin are Everton fans, i'm lucky to come out of there alive.

 

Liverpool never do it the easy way, always the hard way, i don't think a Champions League tie has ever been straight forward for us. I think we have to thank Pepe Reina for getting us to the Champions League group stages as he pulled off a couple more quality saves today aswell as a fortnight ago.

 

I wasn't expecting those pair of performances from Liege and it's damn harsh for them to go out, although in the second half and extra time they were blatantly going for pens, with 11 men behind the ball of waiting for the clock to tick down.

 

Are Liverpool going for the most latest goals in a season competition?.

@Waddy, a very good miffield player, but i'm not sure he will play instantly, he was searching for a new club from Red Star for 1 month, and didnt have any preparations for the new season, so he isn't fit, although when he gets a decent fitnes level, he'll be quality.

EDIT: Seems like Cluj are a Romanian side who came in just after Steaua Bucureşti and made it to the proper. And yes, Lithuanians did get eliminated, by none other than Aalborg BK.

Yeah, I can see why.

 

Mine's obviously Shearer, but I think he'd win any fan's fav player that they've seen, probably.

 

Other than that, a few stick out as memorable: Peter Beardsley is a extremely close second place for me. Ketsbaia was mint too but more for the antics, Robert Lee was good. Shola and Steven Taylor seem passionate about the club. Asprilla was a good player, and still says Newcastle is one of his favourite clubs. Shay Given and Steve Harper are probably joint third place, for keeping us up. Without them, we'd have been relegated long ago.

 

Ooh, Nobby Solano too! One of my fav players ever. And Oliver Bernard, he was good during his first spell here.

Regarding our extra time win; now, it wasn't a great performance, and yeah, we needed to go all the way, but we didn't play terrible. Some sources seem to be making out that we were absolutely dreadful, but we controlled the game, and but for a few chances they managed, they were no real threat. It was a marked improvement over the first leg, at least, and with Mascherano soon back into the engine room, we'll have nothing to worry about.

 

Those Belgians were bloody noisy, though! Good supporters.

Happy that we got through, pretty much thanks to Pepe Reina, without him we would of been dead from the first leg and about 2-0 down in the second, pulled out so quality saves.

 

Pretty pee'd off with the performances though, even though it's a mega plus playing sh*t and winning but how will we cope with better teams, we have Villa away from home and United as our next two fixtures, we can't play the same or we'll go hammered.

We've got a bit of money from the supposed Barry deal and we've just got 10-12 million for qualifying for the Champions League surely we could sign a winger.

 

@Champions League draw, I see United have got an easy group and Arsenal's is pretty tough. PSV and Marseille for Liverpool again, we've beaten them comfortably a fair few times, so they shouldn't be any trouble and Atletico will be a strange fixture to the link with Torres.

 

If we get our performances back we should easily get into the knockout stages .

Ridiculous isn't it? While you could make an argument for Lampard, Ferdinand, Vidic, and Van Der Sar were much better than Cech and Terry last season. Certainly Terry was given the award out of sympathy. Ronaldo won the Forward of the year and Overall award by the way.

Well James Milner is more available than ever, after his transfer request has been accepted. Although, if I recall correctly, you're not too fond of him. He's good, I tells ya!

Ronaldo's a forward, played as a full striker Vs Roma and Barcelona last year, and was practically a right sided striker in all our other games, although in my view Lampard's also a forward. Saying that, Lampard has more to the defensive side of his game and plays centrally. Hard to draw a distinction, although I strongly disagree with the assertion that CR is a midfielder, he hardly gets any assists for a start.

 

The awards were for CL performances I believe. Possibly club performances all season, but Internationals were not taken into account.
