I don't have any programmes from the 50s, but I certainly have some from the 70s and 80s. I think I've got approximately 300 in total, all passed own from my grandad, including both champions league finals, and the league cup final (brownie point for guessing who I support). So I've got some moneys worth, but I don't intend to sell them soon.

 

Regarding Trappatoni, sure his English at first may well be abismal, but he'll obviously learn the language, much like Fabio Capello is doing, and any other foreign manager in the premiership, La liga etc, they all learn the language pretty quickly.

 

Look at Chelseas Claudio Ranieri for example, his English at first was shocking, but after a good few months he was fluent, which will inevetably be the case with Trappatoni.

 

And take Trappatoni for example, he would have hadto master the Austrian language when he moved into that league, and he obviosuly did, as he helped them win a league title.

 

Language isn't the issue, the isue is whether Trappatoni can transform Ireland into a brilliant team, and get them qualified for the next World cup.

We didn't deserve to make it through really even from the performances from the other two F.A cup fixtures.
