Just been reading the Daily Mail footy pages and apparently the only continent not apposed to the 39th game so far is North America. Most if not all others approached about the possibility of their countries hosting games have rejected it! Gutted FA, shove that up your pipes.

19 league goals for Adebayor now, it's great to see a player develop from one that only scored 5+ goals a season to a real goal scorer and multiple threat. He certainly has Wenger to thank for that.

No he's not a Sebian, he was born in Geneva in Switzerland, therefore he is Swiss he's played International football for Switzerland since the Under 15's.

 

Also to expand on Barciur, Match of the Day usually gets aired (i think live) from 10-30pm to about 12am on a Saturday and then similar times on a Sunday, usually the so called 'Big Four' get more highlights footage then the lower clubs.

 

It's also pretty funny when the Lineker, Shearer, Hansen, Lawrenson and sometimes a few others on a Sunday get together.

 

Then Match of the Day also shows live F.A Cup games .

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, I think Adebayor's change in from may be down to the deoarture of Henry.

 

Last season Henry was the only threat up front for Arsenal and was the man t watch, and also the man who every defender would want to prevent from scoring.

 

Adebayor was a mere shadow whilst Henry was at Arsenal. But since Henry's departure Adebayor has come into it a lot more and taken over his position as the premierships' main strike threat.

 

It also made me think, would Adebayor be the player he is now if Henry was still at Arsenal?

Had Henry stayed at Arsenal, I doubt that Adebayor would have improved. Henry is probably the world's best striker, and with him there, Adebayor was held back. Now that Adebayor has a lot of game time, it's showing that once he has the oppurtunity, he can make them count.

Regarding this Henry thing..its ironic really as the signing of the season may turn out to be Arsenal selling Henry to Barcelona. I was one of the few non Arsenal fans who were convinced they would flourish this season, although i didnt expect them to be playing so well, and sit at the top of the league.

Bolton have got Ateletico Madrid, Stefan, so you should be in for a good game. They are playing quite well from what i remember.

Of course your entitled to your opinion mate but people usually back these up with some sort of validity. Rob Green isn't a bad keeper because of one mistake, if this is your reasoning you could add Carson, James, Robinson, Foster, Van Der Sar and many more to that category.

 

Fact is Green has gotten better with age and games with West Ham in the Premiership and although the hammers haven’t set the league on fire, they have held their own and will be in the league this time next year and that is in no small part to Green.

Absolutely fantastic player, seems to be a decent manager with his Austrian outfit. But moving from the Austrian league to a decent international nation will be difficult, you'll have to hope he graces the challenge and blossoms. I'm optimistic.

 

And Stefan.- Of course you are entitled to your own opinion, however to back up your point by saying "he made a mistake, I think it's on youtube somewhere" is pretty pathetic. The point I made was that every goalkeeper makes mistakes, including the best, so backing up your point by saying he made a mistake isn't going to convince anybody he's crap, which he isn't anyway.

 

You obviously can't have seen enough of him to label him as crap. because he is far from it.

No glory hunter here though it's in my family, hell I have programmes from the 50's! Why I'm unsure of Trapa (new nickname there) is his English it's not perfect. Although if Capello can do I suppose he can.
