wacko3.16 Posted November 23, 2006 Share Posted November 23, 2006 Time or Resources are not a factor since Rockstar Leeds made VCS on PSP while Rockstar North are or should be working on GTA4 leaving Rockstar Leeds to help port the game. Rockstar have different teams so that is not really a valid argument that VCS has less of a chance to be ported then LCS was. I don't think this changes anything as its been the same story throughout the GTA series. This may be true, but Rockstar North do put a lot of work into the PSP GTA's. They have to recreate the maps based upon their original designs, and in the case of VCS change a lot of stuff. At the end of LCS you see at least half of R* Norths staff on the credits, due to the sheer amount of work they do actually put into it. In my humble opinion, we may have to make a petition to get this over the PS2. GTA-Freak, I know you can contact them, so would you be willing to get this to go ahead? If i set up the thread, and get as many names as possible will you be willing to send it to R* seeing this is like one of the biggest GTA sites on the WWW, they will have to listen. It is entirley up to you, I just want VCS on the PS2, rather than having to spend over £100 on a PSP for only one game. However the fact that it has already come down in price by about 1/3 in less than a year tells you that most consumers disagree with you. Is the PS2 going the way of the Tyranasaurus Rex? Yeah, eventually. But the reality is The PS3 has limited availiblity, few games out, and costs a king's ransom. So for the moment GTA fans are hoping that Rockstar in it's infinite wisdom throws us a bone and gives us VCS on a platform that we care about to tide us over for the 10 months we have to wait for GTAIV. steveplayer Posted December 7, 2006 Share Posted December 7, 2006 (edited) come on guys, every one complaining that they wont port vcs to ps2 because it will be as bad as lcs is just plain [email protected]*kin' stupid. lcs wasnt that great in the first place so why was everyone so disappointed. the fact is that gta vcs is going to be so much better than lcs was. if you go to wiki vcs and read about the new features that vcs has that lcs didnt have, you will see a couple of reasons why vcs wont do as badly as lcs and the fact that the millions of true gta fans wont really give a rats ass if it isnt that great that and they will enjoy it anyway. the arguement that R* wont port it because they are working on gta iv is stupid. having another customer base will not hurt their finances, they will still make a fair amount of money with it and keep their fans happy while they are enduring the long wait until gta iv is released. also, the arguement that noone will by gta iv if the port vcs because it will be disappointing it [email protected]*king stupid aswell. if they are true hardcore gta fans like we are then they will already know that gta iv is going to be the greatest gta game so far with the best of everything then they are still going to buy gta iv if vcs is ported to ps2. here in australia a ps3 will cost around $800 - $1100 when it comes out and i would rather that than wasting my money on a psp. im not knocking the psp a few of my mates have it and i like them they are pretty cool, but im not going to waste my money on a machine that i would only get for vcs anyway. instead i am saving up my money for a ps3 and gta iv. also that guy who said he would create a petition for vcs being ported, i would be glad to sign it and send it R*. they would have to listen if hundreds of thousands if not millions of people sign it. also they are probably waiting a while like they did with lcs to port it or announce the port. to either keep us wanting it more and more or to see how much money it makes on psp and then bring it out on ps2 to make more money because more money never hurts. they are making a game in gta iv that can only be played on next gen consoles, it is going to be so awesome and huge that it is only for next gen consoles, so why not port a game that can still be played on a ps2. before they start releasing games that are only capable of being played on higher performing consoles they should end the ps2 generation of gta games with a bang. vcs will be bigger than lcs and it can still be ported over to ps2. so they should finish off the ps2 gta series with a bang and then bring out the next gen gta games. because a ps3 is backwars compatable which means it can play ps2 and ps games NOT PSP GAMES, so why not give us this last one and then we will stop complaing as you say we are [email protected]*ers! Liberty City Stories was one of the best selling PSP games even though they don't compete with the other GTAs GTA wise, it was still a good game that I never got bored of. I am playing them in chronological order... so GTA: Vice City first, GTA: San Andreas, and now I'm on GTA III) ... With LCS coming to PS2 I thought, if and ONLY if VCS comes to PS2 as well, I will get both and fill in all the known gaps and stories related to Grand Theft Auto. But I don't really care now. Whatever stories exist between GTA: Vice City, GTA: San Andreas, and GTA III for PS2 ... Is all I'm concerned with now. Too bad R*, you could have had more of my money, times 2. Oh well... By then everyone that wanted it for PSP will have long since bought it, so it will be time to pick up some quick PS2 money one last time before "THE BIG" GTA release in October.
