Don't have it, but if/when I get it I'll update this post with my thoughts. Anyway, interesting poll over at PlanetGTA.com...

Not sure if this find has been posted already, but when you're browsing the map, hold X to be able to see the Unique jumps, Rampages or Red balloons you've already discovered, as blips on the map.

I'll get back to this post later, when I've played more.

Vanilla Shake

I got the game, and while I haven't played long enough to notice any cons, I'll post some interesting facts.

- There are numerous deli's and clothing stores across Downtown (enterable, but there is really nothing to do in them).

- The draw distance really is better than VC's (you can see the buildings from Downtown lit up all the way from Ft. Baxter)

- Entering buildings works the same way as San Andreas, except the triangle markers are blue this time around.

- Your first safehouse is a military barracks and it's quite spacious (unlike your first apartment from LCS).

- Despite some reviews stating that Vice City is very dark at night, I find it to be about the same as LCS (but I have my PSP's brightness up, so...).

- Many buildings now have neon lights.

- The start menu is pretty much the same as LCS, only instead of a totally black background, it's now dark purple with black palm trees.

- The bridges leading to Prawn Island, Ocean Beach, etc. are once again closed due to a hurricane warning (the only other island accessable is Starfish Island).

Sorry if this isn't the type of info you're looking for, but hey, I tried.

Now on to Mission #2....

Edit:

- You can only climb out of water; no ledge/wall climbing.

- Our beloved mansion, "Vercetti Estates" is still under construction, and instead of a white Infernus spawning outside, a white Cheetah spawns outside.

If you finish the shooting range challenge, you get discount for Ammunation purchases. As well as $2500 for completion, and $1500 for making the first high scores. (Each new high score for each category gives you $500)

There's a health pickup just right infront of the barracks next to yours at the base. Kind of obvious.

I found an Armor pickup in a really narrow alley in west Little Havana. (It goes north/south). Just opposite the Airport. (After you take the new wooden bridge to Little Havana, take a right, and go straight)

Hilarious lines. and good finds.

I just got mine, about 30 minutes ago. But I also just got a PSP so I have to charge it. I'll have to wait till I can physically play it.

Theres a new weapons dealer called Stonewall J's. He's at the southwest of Little Havana, right before you enter Viceport. A BMX is placed right next to it.

(You can't purchase any weapons from him yet, though)

What was rumored to be an exposed nipple, is actually just a heart tattoo. Louise Williams IS breast feeding her child in a cutscene, but the tattoo is on the opposite breast.

EDIT; The combat system is almost identical to Bully's control wise (without things like wedges, taunting, and wet willies of course).

Theres a new bike called the Ventoso. It has a lugguge box on the back and a single headlight. It's like the Faggio (same engine sounds).

Also, there's a new bike called the Streetfighter (which everyone will ride in the first mission.)

The street on the east of Viceport (right next to the water) is called Bayside Avenue. The new ship with neon lights is called Benny's Restaurant. The Cholo House was actually Phil Cassidy's but you help him get it back and after you're discharged, you can save there. Warning: Don't bother getting weapons, because once you're discharged you lose em all!!

My only complaints so far is that 1.) I've been playing for atleast five hours and i'm still in little havana. and 2.) That close quarters fighting is still a little unbalanced in favor of the enemy when they carry bats. No way to get away from them before they repeatedly hit you.

1. about 91/100

2. genuine gta, great nostalgia feel of good ol' VC

3. psp limits, while there aren't that many compared to ps2, they are surely there

4. climbing walls, and custom outfits

5. great game so far.

Vanilla Shake

My rating:

100/100

Why did I give a perfect score you ask?

Because it's just a great-ass game.

Sure, some issues can be an annoyance, such as the close quarters combat, and some minor pop up issues, but, has this stopped us from loving the previous GTA's? Nope.

For one, there's the Empire Building mode.

IMO, this is the greatest addition to the game.

There are TONS of businesses to take over, and after you take over a certain number of them, you can start to receive (no collecting little money icons at business fronts here - all earnings are sent directly to you) a LOT of cash. Plus, you can save at these locations and when you enter them, you can walk up to an employee and do missions for your business, and increase your profits, and make a reputation. The only downside to this IMO is that the gangs you take these properties from will attack you on sight, and personally, I don't like to randomly be attacked.

Another good thing is the draw distance. Much better than VC, and you can even see buildings lit up from all the way across the bay.

Many buildings from VC now have neon lights, which can also be seen from quite a distance.

Just adds to the 80's atmosphere IMO.

Jet-Ski's are awesome. They actually control better than I thought and are just a blast to ride.

There are a ton of new vehicles.

Storyline. Some websites claim that the storyline and characters sucked. I beg to differ. While I don't want to spoil any plot details, just let me tell you that the missions are a hell of a lot of fun, and there are plenty of interesting characters to keep you entertained for hours upon hours.

Last but not least, Soundtrack.

I've only got 2 words to describe the fully licenced and diverse soundtrack: f*cking Awesome.

Closing statements: If you're a GTA fan and have a PSP, just buy the game. There may be some carried over bugs and glitches, but all in all it doesn't really detract from what IMO is an amazing gaming experience; console or handheld.

Ahould have created more useful interiors, eg ability to rob the stores etc

Game Rating 9/10

Pros:

•Empire Building!

•Ability to buy back weapons when busted or wasted.

•Purchase vehicles at SunShine Autos

•Swimming.

•Better Drive-Bys.

•Helicopters and Planes.

•A ton of interiors.

•Bikes

•3D Vehicle engines.

•More safehouses.

•Taxi (Trip-Skips) makes a return!

Cons:

•Garages eat cars :[

•Climbing out of water is a little jumpy.

•Fist fighting can be a pain.

•Popups are terrible.

•Radio stops randomly.

•Motorcycle noise delay.

•Textures and placed incorrectly (Sidewalks for example).

I just do not like the texture work on VC, it's the same as regular Vice. A little sloppy textures but I'm a perfectionist, shouldn't be a problem to anyone else.

•Manually aiming is hard but gets better with a bit of practice.

•Storeline is a bid iffy. Some missions are made poorly.

I'm sure plenty of us are tired of the whole hand waving thing when people talk.

•No bike skill improvement so far. I don't like jumping 1 foot in the air only.

•Hard missions, but sometimes a Pro!

Cool game. Even with all these cons I give it a 9/10 because it's just an amazing improvement over LCS.

I think that in LCS the radio took a little while to just start up. But in VCS sometimes the music will stop for a few seconds when it's been playing for a while, and then start back up.

I am still having second thoughts since most of you mentioned a radio glitch. Man, I would like to hear the songs when I am doing the dishes or fixing my house a bit.

Don't worry, it's still worth it. Not all games are perfect ya' know.

Oh, okay. GTA-Thomas, what did you mean, Storyline was iffy, as you also included that some missions were poorly made.
