I hate that IMAX poster but I do like the fan made poster. Rorschach walking down the street and The Comedian falling from the window are my two favourite posters so far.

Late night at the movies and no one was in the corridor moto_whistle.gif Yoink.

A theatre heist... My hats off to you good sir. I've never known posters to be so open to take, cool.

And the Good Friend clip was heartwarming. Rorschach's a little f*cker.

More like Night Owl's a leafy fellow.

...I bought the graphic novel last night. I can't put it down, and I haven't read a comic book in... well, aside from the odd Heavy Metal, ages. Can't believe it took me this long to get around to it.

I'm pretty pumped.

I dont know if you guys have seen all these, but I'll post it for those who haven't.

Random clips, like Silk Spectre make a rooftop rescue, set reports and interviews, trailer analysis, behind the scenes/making of etc

Enjoy!

So, haha, people who have watched the film are "a buzz" about the fact that Dr. Manhattan's wang is in the movie, and that it's f*cking huge, the opposite of what it was in the novel.

In the graphic novel, Doctor Manhattan's peen is modest and understated, symbolizing the character's impotence in the face of human evil. Adding inches to its length or circumference undermines everything Alan Moore was trying to say about politics, society, and the human condition.

Another change. Here, watch this trailer. I've yet to see this one, until now, and I'm guessing you haven't either. Shows new stuff including Doc's wang in all it's glory and Nite Owl II and Silk Spectre II bumping uglies. This sh*t is gonna be good. An R-rated superhero movie, 'bout time.

Biggie Edit: Snyder's 3-Hour, 10 minute Director's Cut version of Watchmen to hit theatres in July. But only in theatres in NY and LA. It is, "considerably more violent than this ... and sexier."

It's.....just.....a.....PENIS! Okay, so he's hung like a horse and it's attached to a blue omnipotent being of pure quantum mechanic energy but it's still just a f*cking penis. Yes, I know that there is a lot to read into "Watchmen" but I shouldn't have to stare at Dr. Manhattan's glow stick to figure out it's importance to the story as a whole. Maybe this guy is reading a little TOO much into things.

God, I can just imagine the lame "Watchmen" derivatives the porn industry is going to churn out.....

From what I understand, based on one of the large "Watchmen" movie books I leafed through at the local bookstore, there are supposed to be three versions: the standard Theatrical Version (155 min.), Director's Cut (190 min.), and Home Version [DVD - BluRay] (220 min.).

Although it is stated that only LA and NY are supposed to get the Director's Cut I hope that, if the Theatrical Version does well enough, they may consider showing the longer version in other cities. And hopefully the San Antonio/Austin region may get a chance in showing it so I can see it before the ultimate Home Version is released.

You know they cut Hollis Mason's death from the theatrical cut?

That's not a little change, Scarface. I've seen it, I hate Veidt's accent. I hate the change they made. It means some great lines are lost.

"Possible homosexual? Must remember to investigate further."

Stop changing sh*t for no reason. f*cking hack directors.

Why does it sound like Ozy's doing a sh*tty gangster impression?

And not having Rorschach there talking to him is pretty sh*t. We won't be hearing, "If that makes him a Nazi, you might as well call me a Nazi too." Weak.

And maybe Mason's death will be in the Director's Cut or that Home Version.

I kind of think Ozy sounds like he's doing a bad Christopher Walken impersonation.

@ Widow: I know its not a little change, I didn't mean it literally. However my friend who hasn't even read the damn book thinks its a little change. I've pointed out every change in all these clips and he always makes the same argument: "ITS NOT GONNA BE EXACTLY THE SAME AS IN THE COMIC". Now I can deal with that Rorschach and Nite Owl chat taking place somewhere different but theres a difference between something like that and completely changing a scene.

And what? Hollis Mason's death gets cut? f*ck that. True to the novel my ass.

Maybe that's why I specifically said THEATRICAL. You can thank IMAX for that. Shorter reels. Hope the added resolution is worth it, kids.

I hated Veidt's accent in that, but he sounds a lot better in this B-roll footage.

Also the scene of Rorschach fighting the SWAT was pretty cool, but it would look a lot better in real time. Like it is in the B-roll footage. The best part was Rorschach's signature "hurm."

Been doing a little research on the different versions that are supposed to come out.

Apparently the Director's Cut is longer but does NOT have "Tales of the Black Freighter" included. The Home Version is supposed to be exactly like the Director's Cut EXCEPT that "Tales of the Black Freighter" will be intercut into the film.

The BluRay version is supposed to have some interactive stuff involving the director. Should be interesting.

*hurm*

Yeah dude, I know.

Well, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Comedian) is hooked on Superheroes now. He's signed on to played the lead "Loser" apparently in The Losers movie, based on the 2004 DC/Vertigo series. The plot centers on a Special Forces team who were betrayed by their C.I.A. handler, Max. The team (nicknamed The Losers) is left for dead following a mission, and after a narrow escape, they vow revenge. They dodge C.I.A. plots, attempt to get their name off the secret “death list,” and uncover more of Max’s shocking plots and conspiracies that extend throughout the U.S. government.

Interesting.

Goodfella.

I haven't been watching all these clips that have been put out as I wanna see it all in one go, but I don't like what I hear regarding Rorschach's dialogue being cut, it makes it sound as if they're trying to brush aside any controversial personality traits he has, e.g. homophobia. That'd be a real shame as I think it's an intresting aspect of the era the movie is set in and especially the character who see's most things as black and white.

Widow, do not diss the VIOSIONARY directer that is the Snyder... it matters not whether he's made three films, one of which being remake that opinion on is pretty torn, and the other two being movies where someone else's vision has been slapped onto the screen.

Still, I'm looking forward to the pages coming to life.

I don't know if they cut his dialogue. But they dropped the Rorschach/Veidt scene, so it's hard to see where his dialogue could fit in without it. It's possible it will just be said somewhere else.

Snyder can't help himself. The action is over the top as f*ck. Watchmen can't jump 20 feet into the air. It's supposed to be the most realistic superhero comic book. But whatever, at least it will be entertaining.

On a f*cking unashamedly bragging note... I will be watching a midnight triple feature next Saturday of 300, Sin City and... Watchmen.

Yeah, a week early.

I know somebody around here likes to kick people's balls over spelling and I thought it was you WidowMaker. My bad.

And enjoy the show. I am planning to get March 5th midnight tickets on my next day off (if they haven't all sold out already).

Because you all love My Chemical Romance so much....

The song that will usher in the ending of a hopefully awesome/epic movie. MCR's cover of Bob Dylan's Desolation Row.

Pff, I like it. The group said they modeled their look in the vid after what they believed bands might have looked like/sounded like in the Watchmen world.

I'm sold.

Total Film (UK) and Empire (UK) magazines both have their reviews up on their respected sites. Both gave it a 4/5 rating but I would check out the full review by clicking the links I kindly put in there for you smile.gif

And just to shake things up a bit is a negative view from the News of the World

Holy f*ck that guy is cheesed. Major hype-up. I imagine he's kind of annoying to sit next to at a movie. But he's got me excited.

And awww, he had his equipment stolen. Bummer. I am happy that he made a point to state that slo-mo is used minimally.
