I already noticed a slight change from the novel early on. It's small, but it could be an indication. Who knows? I'm hoping the film improves things.

In the novel, Rorschach waits for Moloch in his fridge, and grapples him to the wall when he opens it. In the movie, Rorschach leaves a note in the fridge that reads, "Look Behind You", and that's when he slams him to the wall.

I prefer the film's take on that little scene.

And I realize the whole ending was altered, so chillax.

And I swear, that last photo of The Comedian looks like a dead ringer for Robert Downey Jr.....

Nuh uh, he looks almost exactly like Javier Bardem.

EDIT: Holy sh*t, didn't realise Solid Snake is one of the writers. wow.gif

Was, I believe. He wrote a screenplay quite a while ago which was set in modern times and was meant to be, according to Moore, quite close to the original. I don't if he has involvement in this one but I believe it's little more then a credit because they're using elements of his screenplay.

What has Alan Moore had to say about this film? He's quite famous for his opinion on comic book movies.

Perhaps they were worried after the backlash of Indy being in a fridge?

And Jacky Fiend, Alan Moore wants this film to die a horrible death.

I think it's probably because it's quite hard to jump out of an fridge in real life, I'd assume.

That sounds like Moore. smile.gif

Did you even read the novel? Did ANY OF YOU?

He does both. The first time he's in the fridge. The second time, he leaves his jacket sticking out of the fridge with only the note inside, that's when he shows up behind Moloch.

Idiot.

Yes. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that.

And Window, I didn't read all 12 issues, sorry, so just f*ck off. The negativity of your posts amuse no one but you. Now make a witty comeback and let's end this.

Damnit Widow, before I saw your post I was getting ready to rip him a new one, fanboy style.

Oh, I see. You're comparing changes between a movie you haven't seen and a novel you haven't read.

Good job.

Oh, I see. You're comparing changes between a movie you haven't seen and a novel you haven't finished.

There ya go. I'll let you know when I've completed it, and then we can compare notes and feel superior to other forumers together.

I wonder how many vids thenewfrontiersman page on YouTube will upload before the release? And I wonder if this will be the extent of their viral marketing. I'm not expecting anything as large as the Dark Knight machine, but it'd be pretty cool to have, say, real newspapers publishing stories of costumed-hero sightings. Or rather Watchmen universe papers being released secretly into the public.

Sorry if someone already asked this, but how are they going to separate the comic bits from the novel bits? Are they going to put them on in the order it was in the book, or timeline order? Also the whole zombie comic, how is that going to be played in as well?

Those things really made the graphic novel tie in together for wonderfull-ness to me, and I don't know how I'd feel if they took them out or changed it up.

The Tales of the Black Freighter and the Under The Hood bits are being released seperatly on DVD the week before the movie comes out, and then eventually will be added to the movie for an extended DVD.

Hmmm...

I just finished reading the graphic novel itself. I'll probably pass on the movie.

The symbolism is great, but in some cases? Not subtle enough.

Like having a fat man destroy that watch?

I really hope that was a parody of symbolism in general

Saw a trailer on TV, its looking really good. It only showed small snippets of each character though, and I havent read the novel so I have no idea who's who. I'll still probably go and watch it.

The first pic seen of unmasked Rorschach in the big house. Jackie Earle Haley looks f*cking great, in a psychotic way.

And young Rorschach and mom, awww. By the way, that's Zach Snyder's son. Cool.

Thanks for the info, you f*cking retard.

You know, when Rorschach took his mask off, it was kinda a big deal, a reveal of who he is, but that's lost now. Apparently maskless Rorschach isn't even a spoiler. I mean I don't give a f*ck, I've read it.

It'll be basically the same thing as the comic. Why bother?

Except it's in a completely different form of media with a different perspective than the person who wrote the book.

Not really the same thing.

I heard that Jackie Earle Haley nearly went nuts during filming because of the intensity of the character. Hopefully, the local paper will do some write-ups on him as the film gets closer to release. Still nothing in the movies section concerning pre-sale tickets (yet).

Saw a little bit of "Watchmen: The End is Nigh" vidgame last night. Looks interesting. May try to get it later when it comes out.
