Groovy
I've read like 40 pages of it, I'd say go get it, because it was pretty kick ass. Been warming back up to 300 lately, but on the downside, all the assholes in my school are running Superbad right into the ground.
papanesta
Ouch, see we never get fads like that here. If people tried to destroy my favourite films like that, I'd kill them. It happened with Napoleon Dynamite, but I've never even seen that.
Groovy
It happened with Napoleon Dynamite, but I've never even seen that. That was more an annoyence with me, seeing as I never liked that movie to begin with. Be happy though that it doesn't happen over there. Everyone here will quote it nonstop. The internet is what made me not like 300 for awhile, all the not funny spoofs and whatnot.

Thank God I don't go to school anymore. I really f*cking hope the Watchmen movie isn't f*cked up. It could be a very very very awesome movie if done right. I hope they picked someone really f*cking good to play Rorschach.
papanesta
Rorschach. The pictures on IMDb are interesting.
Groovy
Saw those pictures a while back, some of the best sets I've ever seen.
papanesta
The hidden image in the r-rated 300 trailer was pretty cool as well.
Scarface187
Those sets look awesome. I'm not sure about the cast though. I don't know anyone in that cast. Whoever is playing The Comedian kind of looks like he could be the younger version of him. I wonder if they're going to cast older actors to player older versions of the same characters or just go crazy with make up and what not.
Groovy
I'm not sure about the cast though. I'd glad they got reletivly no name people for this movie. I think it will work.
papanesta
You don't know anyone!? I loved Carla Gugino in Sin City. And Patrick Wilson from Hard Candy.
Scarface187
Oh, that girl was in Sin City? I didn't know that. I might recognize these people from some things but the names don't ring any bells.
Groovy
Is Hard Candy any good? Never saw it. Only one that I really know from the cast is Billy Crudup. He was awesome in Big Fish.
papanesta
Hard Candy is brilliant! Probably one of my favourite films, hence why I was looking forward to 30 Days of Night so much when I heard David Slade was directing. Edited the topic title. TheDude5000
Man. I have a good friend who loved Dawn Of The Dead '04. We both bought the DVD, and I planned on watching this one with him too. Guess he's gonna hate to hear the news that it's going direct-to-dvd...but to be honest, the Dawn sequel will be awesome anyway. I wonder if this re-make is really that bad. I mean there's no way it's bad as the direct-to-dvd sequel to the original Day. Might be worth a rental just to find out... Anyway, what's the story with this Diary of the Dead thing? I think it got some bad reviews or something. And is it getting a theatrical release or what?

Groovy
Yeah, big ass bumb, but I don't care. SHH have posted a new still from Watchmen. Nice. Anyone get a look at the DVD art for the Day of the Dead remake(yup, it's going straight to DVD). It's about the worst DVD art ever to grace the earth. Scarface187
Thats so f*cking cool. I really hope this movie doesn't suck. And we already discussed the awfulness of the Day of the Dead remake and DVD art. I'm trying to forget it exists.
Groovy
Zach Snyder knows how to make a kickass movie, so I'm sure this will be good.

Andyzoot
So this 'Watchmen' graphic novel you speak of. Is it a good read? I've started getting into graphic novels a bit recently and am trying to add all the highly recommended ones to my collection.

I've started getting into graphic novels a bit recently and am trying to add all the highly recommended ones to my collection. If your into graphic novels, get 'Watchmen'. Alan Moore's twisted and political graphic novel follows 'vigilantes' around New York as they take down criminals in there own different ways (i.e. The Comedian is the rape-hungry monster with little morals, while Rorschach only sees things in 'black and white'). My only problem with the film is, there's so much in Alan Moore's 'GN', that I don't know how they'll fit it all into one film (unless Zack sets it so, he reveals everything over two or three films, which would be better in my opinion) and that new still is great I just hope they leave the grappling gun in the chest sequence in that scene where Rorschach gets arrested! It's usually £75, but I got it for £50. My mate works in Waterstones. Can't wait to read it.

JoeyLeone25
Zack Snyder has released photo's of some of the Watchmen characters that will be in the film; Ozymandias; http://www.slashfilm.com/wp/wp-content/ima...ncharacter1.jpg Nite Owl; http://www.slashfilm.com/wp/wp-content/images/nightowl.jpg Rorschach; http://www.slashfilm.com/wp/wp-content/ima...orschachbig.jpg Silk Spectre; http://www.slashfilm.com/wp/wp-content/images/silk1.jpg The Comedian; http://www.slashfilm.com/wp/wp-content/images/comedian.jpg Credit; /Film So far my favourite two characters, Rorschach and The Comedian, are looking awesomely like Moore's original vision that was in the graphic novels. Not sure about Nite Owl and Ozymandias though. Anomalous Material.com <--> AMF Multiplayer Topic Join Quidco and get Cashback for buying things online!
