emeryrulz
I know you can put music into the game, but I don't know how to. So yeah, I came here to ask. And Im also looking to put some in GTA3. Parliament
Drop MP3s into the MP3 folder. Then when you surf the stations there will be an MP3 station. Plays your MP3s and throws in a few commercials. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/259606-how-do-i-put-music-into-the-game/#findComment-3917075 Share on other sites
Timpo
in GTA SA the user tracks folder is usually in my documents/GTA San Andreas User Files. don't know about GTA3. jarjar
In GTA3 just go to you games Installation Directory (by default it's "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTAIII") and drop the MP3's into the "mp3" folder in that directory . Deuce Deuce
Yeah, it's common knowledge to check a game's readme since that's where you're most likely going to find an answer to a question/problem/etc. (usually in an F.A.Q. file). Drag all the music you want to San Andreas' MP3 folder; start up the game; change your radio station to 'User Track Player'. And voila!... if you're having trouble with it or something, then go into the game options and mess with the settings there. I'm not sure if there's already a key set to change the song on the station, but you can go into controller setup and configure one there. emeryrulz
Ok, I got all that. But is there anyway to cutout the ads? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/259606-how-do-i-put-music-into-the-game/#findComment-3918394 Share on other sites
jarjar
Ok, I got all that. But is there anyway to cutout the ads? Nope, the ads are there by default to make your custom tracks act more like all the other radio starts. You can't remove them, sorry. Although you can copy entire mp3s into the user tracks folder of GTA SA user files directory, it is not always the best option if you are running out of space You can create shortcuts of your favorite mp3s into the user tracks folder .That way you can save a lot of space since each shortcut occupies only 4 KB in disk space. And it took me a little while to find it in the folders because I did not look where I installed it. Timpo
Ok, I got all that. But is there anyway to cutout the ads? if you're talking about SA, you have 3 play modes. I believe it was "RADIO", "SEQUENTIAL", and "RANDOM". if you don't want ads, pick one of the last two.
