Creating a road

ok Press "M" to open the material editor. Next click "Material" and "Assign to Selection". Then you put the texture in the material slot.

 

Just dragging it onto the object textures the whole thing rather than the selection.

nice tutorial but i don't found any attach system

i find only one in gurop menu but it is not available

is there any hiearchy manager in 3ds max like in zmodeler ????

Try Pressing "H", this is a great tutorial I originally learned to do all my road modeling from this.

I think I figured out the source of the problem I was having with texturing the road. I had been applying an "edit poly" rather than converting to an editable poly.

Sorry for bumping the topic, but I'm lost. confused.gif

 

When I'm doing the pathdeform modifier, and drawn the spline and even edited it to be smoother, by fillet, how the hell can I save my model to stay as it is, and do not turn into a plain road model, like I did nothing at all? Help would be appreciated. smile.gif

This is one hell of a good tutorial. One suggestion though, would be to do something about the pictures that got removed for the T Junction. But other than that, great work
