eivissa
news from within the paddock has been interesting lately. i hope that mclaren does recieve race bans from the fia after the spy fiasco. i feel sorry for hamilton because he's been doing a great job this season, but i only want this so it will be impossible for alonso to win the championship again. and maybe raikkonen can have a 3rd chance at taking the title. and raikkonen's last 2 races have been fabulous. he drove superbly in england, even with mclaren's tactics of short fueling alonso to get him out in front during the first round. i hope the iceman takes the crown this year. ha! we stole one of your best! Umm, no? Montoya was good but far from the best. I seem to recall he got fed up with his lack of success and opportunities in F1, and decided to announce his plans for pastures new at the end of the season. At which point Ron Dennis simply said, "well f*ck off then." I may be paraphrasing slightly here. The point is, he wasn't stolen, he chose to move. ron dennis told montoya to f*ck off after montoya took out raikkonen and 6 others at indy last year. AndyGanteks
i wasnt active in this topic but i gotta say i love Hamilton and hope he win it thi s year.i was looking at formula when Hakkinen and Schumi were battling for titles but after Hakki retired and Schumi ruled i stopped it,until Alonso showed up and made Schumi retire winning 2 titles. But i now kinda hate him because he is so antipatic to me.I hope Hamilton wins but i also hope Kimi becomes the 2nd.i love him too THERE FIXED Edited July 18, 2007 by AndySerb Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/259492-formula-1/page/2/#findComment-4383333 Share on other sites

rx7 rr4
until Alonso showed up and made Schumi retire winning 2 titles. I doubt some f*ck wit from the spanish countryside forced a 7-time world champion to quit. But, that's just how I feel. Anyways, checked some news information on Friday practice, even though the times mean jack sh*t. Ferrari dominates morning session. Hamilton fastest in afternoon, though with slower times. I didnt follow it up lately but i see Hamilton still leads. If massa could win it could be a deadly finish between 4 drivers, but if Hamilton wins i guess he wins the title.BTW how much races are left anyways? swolo yaggins
I'm in the boonies and I haven't had a connection to read up on the latest happenings, but now that I have, I'm not surprised at all. I had already thought that it was pretty sketchy that McLaren was middle pack last year and with the help of Alonso and his 'great testing capabilities' that they moved to the front. F*CKING CHEATERS. How is Ferrari supposed to win if McLaren is running a modified set-up of their car? AndyGanteks
Well at least Ferrari wins the constructors race since all the points are taken from Mclaren. And for the title i really hope Hamilton wins it.Alonso pisses me off with his bad english How much races left Seddo? swolo yaggins
Yeah, Ferrari will win the Constructors Championship but Alonso and Hamilton (definately Alonso) do not deserve their points. Especially not Alonso since he knew that they were setting up their cars with Ferrari information. Anyways, it's good to know that you pick your favorites based on their level of English. There are 4 races left and Kimi has an 18 point gap to Hamilton. If tomorrows race ends the way it's starting then Kimi may still have a chance, but I doubt it. What a shame of a year. swolo yaggins
Great race result, but the race was somewhat boring. The only way the result would have been better is if the McLarens had crashed into each other in Turn One or anywhere. Massa is 20 points back so he's almost surely out of the race. There is chance for Kimi small but with 1 fail by Alonso i next 3 races anything can happen. swolo yaggins
It's downpouring in Fuji, four laps have passed with the safety car out front and the Ferrari's started with the intermediate tyres. Both of them have gone in to change them which threw their strategy out the window and any hopes to win the race or the championship. My god. edit - SPECTACULAR RACE. Louis did a great job as did Kimi. Great overtake on Coulthard on 100R and lots of attempts to pass Kovaleinen also, but no results. And an awesome crash by the Españoleitor! Seddo
I was reading Saturdays paper today and it had a bit of an interview with Bernie Ecclestone and it said that he wanted to see Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso settle their rivalry for the word title with an explosive high speed crash. He goes onto say that it will bring great publicity to the sport and the duel will have the hallmarks of the 1980's golden era when Allain Prost and Ayrton Senna, who's rivalry twice caused big crashes in the Japanese Grand Prix. Those are pretty extreme comments by Bernie there. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/259492-formula-1/page/2/#findComment-1057197708 Share on other sites

Seddo
Nothing would put a bigger smile on my face than watching those two crash into each other. Yeah i love it when big crashes happen. It's going to be one tense finale with 17 points covering Hamilton, Alonso and Raikkonen and only 2 races left which are in Brazil and China, anything can and most probably will happen in these next two races. When was the last time a reigning champion was having problems from a rookie F1 driver lol. Stefan.
And don't forget Jacques Villeneuve in 1996, his debut season. He got a pole at the start of the season in Melbourne, and was so close to winning, but had to settle for 2nd. He didn't win that year (it went to team mate Damon Hill), but next year he managed to beat Schumi. Since then, a rookie has barely even touched the leader, until now. Good on ya Lewis. As for Webber? He's not the best racer (here, in Australia, everyone in public, on the news, etc.) acts like he's better than Schumi, Fangio, Senna and Alonso (in his good days) put together. Meh. Apart from the fine, this has been an interesting season. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/259492-formula-1/page/2/#findComment-1057204556 Share on other sites
