No not at all, even if you have 2.0, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7 firmwares installed it only takes up about 20 or 30 megs at most. I can't believe I am going to say this but its great that us Aussies don't get the game til November because hopefully by then the situation will be sorted and we will know what we need and how we need to do it. From what I could tell from that French guy's site, all you need to do is emulate 2.71 w/Devhook and you'll be able to play VCS. I wish we had some more people here that could confirm this but so far, this is the only news I've heard of someone using Devhook to play the game and it seems to have been successful. Its weird, because there are already 2.81 games that literally need the 2.81 modules and codecs. Devhook changes the disk SFO from 2.xx to 2.00 (meaning the psp thinks the disk requires 2.00 firmwire to boot) so in theory and its more then likely that VCS will launch on devhook emulated firmwire 2.00 and above unless something is missing. since there have been no reports yet of anything missing then im confident in saying that VCS will run through devhook which means both 1.5 users and 2.71 users can use it without upgrading or downgrading. 2.00 - 2.60 users will need to upgrade to 2.71 or downgrade to 2.00 to run this game through devhook. so all you need to do now to have cheatdevice is wait for edisoncarters new VCS CheatDevice to have cheats but you can still play VCS till then. Im quoting this to bring it to this page and also to ask some questions. I don't like asking loads of questions, but may aswell clear somethings up. I'll start with the basics. First of all, I noticed that the 1.5 Dump is the US version. Will it still work with my UK PSP? Is there separate DevHook versions for UK/US PSP's? Secondly, Once i've upgraded to 2.71, we're in my PSP's directory do i place these files and how do i run them? And excuse the noobiness, but, dump? (hopefully) majority of zips/rars just say unzip to root of drive (X:) but you may need to fiddle with the placement a little. its pretty well explained in the readme.txt the devhook launcher goes in the game directory as its a eboot the devhook installer file by chaoszero automatically installs devhook in the right place. i can't personally confirm VCS running from UMD in Devhook but there is no reason why it sudn't. just make sure your SFO version is set to 2.xx to 2.00 rather then no change. the video is taken using SVC which requires devhook and i think its a UMD he has taken it from. and a quick confirmation quote from cheatdevice.com GTA Vice City Stories PSP A new CheatDevice PRX is coming to VCS!
