Oh man, f*ck that. That stuff rots your brain. It's like being repeatedly punched in the back of the head by a kid on a sugar and helium high... at 300 beats per minute. Every time I hear it seems to be blasting out of a hideously lumpy and fluorescent hatchback with seven or eight scowling neanderthals with their knees at their chins in the back. I'm not usually this critical of entire genres of music, but I genuinely believe it has the potential to lower your I.Q.

He's got it dot on. Stick to (good) house, techno, and electro.

Anyways,

Exactly. Unlike most people I still like to buy CD's. Not just for the songs but I dig the packaging and the lyric booklet and everything. The Maiden remasters especially. They have lots of pictures in there.

Well my two Annihilator albums have just arrived from Play.com.

Alice In Hell and Never, Neverland, they are Annihilators first two albums and pretty goddamn excellent. If you like your thrash and your melodic metal, Annihilator is a band for you.

Definitly, any band I like I buy. If it's a band or artist that I just want a couple of songs from, then lets say I don't don't buy it. wink.gif

Recently I bought;

Boirs/Sunn0))) - Altar.

Ulver - Bergtatt.

My Dying Bride - A Line of Deathless Kings.

Unexpect - In a Flesh Aquarium.

I had all of them downloaded previously. It's just nice to support the bands and have a collection of high quality CD's.

That's not to say I don't download music, otherwise I would not listen to ANY of the bands I am into today, and would probably be in with the cirrent mainstream trends as opposed to finding music that fits me.

It's easier to...acquire...music online when the band in question is too obscure to be in the shops nearby, especially if you live in a suburban area as I do.

But of course, getting the actual CD is preferable, because as Trows said it supports the band, and I enjoy reading and viewing the little booklets.

Edit: Fox- Nice choice. My favorite track on there is Man in a Purple Dress.

Surprisingly I found all those cd's at a local shop, damn good selection of pretty damn obscure metal, so I thought why the hell not.
