Now that you've played it to death

Recommended Posts

Now that we've all played SA to death, what is it that YOU do when you put that disc in? Side missoins? R3 missions? Random killings? Dog fights? Play with the cheat codes?

I'm REALLY into my apocolypse play now.

MY tricks...

Put on tough, ragged black clothing, mowhawk, eyepatch, just looking very Mad Max.

Turn the weather to FOGGY

Put on PEDS RIOT code

Put on CHAOS code

Go to the TRUCK DRIVING MISSION and get in the red start area.

DO NOT GET IN THE TRUCK!

NOW you have NO traffic... everything is quite and very apocolyptic.

Now head into the cities and let your imagination run wild!

I also have been filling my time with making like im a Hit man.

Well... what is it YOU'VE been doing to fill your play time?

When I first got the game, I played it for many hours each day until I completed it. Like most games I then left it for a long time while I played others. Most have some sort of draw that makes you want to play it again and GTA is no different.

The draw for most people is getting the illustrious 100% achievement that really shows your determination to do well in GTA and get all there is to get. For me that’s what brings you back to the game even after excessive playing time.

Agreed, though once you've played through to 100% multiple times, it gets a bit old. I just started playing again last week after a few months hiatus, this'll be at least my third or fourth run to 100%, assuming I play till 100% again.

Before I stopped I'd load up a car with GSF members (usually two with deagles and one with an MP5) and drive to SF to they could pick off those guys in the light blue/turquoise dew rags (Rifa?) That, or take them to kill Ballas/Vagos.

I purposely let each keep a territory or two for a few reasons. First off, once the Vagos are gone you almost never see Tornados, which is one of my favorite cars to hook up. Second, you can skip dancing with Denise if you drive her into gang turf and let her kill three or four of them. It gets annoying getting the "hood attack" messages now and then, but well worth it for the car alone, in my opinion anyway.

This time I only let them keep one territory each, but they are very close to each other. I have a section that I own where they've both started attacks which I've entered and then run from, so now I still "control" it, but there are both ballas and vagos in that area fighting with my guys.

I also have a bunch of different saves at specific parts, mostly for getting BP/DP/EP/FP cars, one is right where the riot starts, another is where I purposely got in debt at Caligula's so those guys would come after me, those are always good for some fun.

My disc hasn't been in since I installed it wink.gif Like hell I'm going to ruin my hardware just to play a game.

To answer your question: modding mostly. I've played to 100% a few times. Right now, I'm involved with the minimum kill challenge. The challenge is intense sometimes and the way it changes the way you look at different aspects of the game is amazing. I'm a big GTA3 guy, but I can honestly say this is the most fun I've had playing any GTA.

I put SA on for the first time in about 6 months a few nights ago.

I went to the trouble of meeting Denise then took her to each one of my other girlfriends houses and took pics of her standing outside (FUN EH!) Then I took her for a death ride in the dodo. Got to a decent height above SF, then jumped out of the plane (That didn’t kill her) So I then proceeded to give her a few slaps with the bat, then finally launched the Bazooka on her. She took the hint and died.

Made a tractor train and drove to the top of Mount Chillard and through myself of the top. Not really anything exciting. I think I am going to sell my copy of SA, Just don’t enjoy it as I once did.

I STUNT! stunting is by far the most fun you will have after beating the game missions and stuff to death. Bumping 140 feet in the air, doing a backflip and then landing on a rail and grinding it with your nrg. Roofing a billboard with your infernus...that's the kinda stuff i like to do biggrin.gif

At the moment i'm goin for my 16th time in completing it, but when I just feel like messing around I like capturing cop chases around the state on my webcam and see how long I can last, I also do stunts and other crazy stuff to make the chases more exciting.

i go around pick up hookers and have them do thair thing and they pay me and then wen they get out of the car i kill them and get more money devil.gifdevil.gifdevil.gifdevil.gif

or i just go to ten green bottles and play pool and play one game of pool and it does not matter if i win or loose i still kill the guy that i was playing pool with anyways with the pool stick devil.gifdevil.gif

and sometimes i just cruze around.

It's the best of the series still, even now that I've played them all.

I have a save that is right before End of the Line, CJ's dressed in a cowboy hat, cowboy boots, black bandana over his face, chaps and the vest from SubUrban. I call it "Desperado mode." I have him starting at Toreno's ranch armed to the teeth and with no cash, but usually when I do the game I commit suicide with grenades to start with no weapons (I killed Katie and Barbara before making the save). I resist picking up weapons at spawn points, preferring to either earn the cash to buy them at Ammu-Nation or take them off stiffs.

There's the riot still in progress in Los Santos, where I might do the Peds have weapons cheat.

Also, I have a save with CJ unarmed, broke and in his default state at the start of the game, using the "unlock everything" trick giving access to restaurants and clothing stores. Then, at my choice I may do the Chaos Mode/Peds have weapons cheat. It's hard to survive with your low health maximum at the start of the game.

Alternately, I find the game still a blast to play as it is even after getting 100 percent and playing through the storyline five times. I haven't played as much while focusing on GTA3, Vice and LCS, but undoubtedly I will come back to SA.

Special Vehicle collecting is definitely harder than the game is without doing it...So you could always do that...Some are really difficult....The ones I had the hardest time with Was the BP/FP/EP/DP FCR-900 ...even the BP/FP/EP/DP Motherships were not that hard....I am not looking forward to the BP/FP/EP/DP Newsvan at all......If System_Error says that it is the hardest to get I do feel abit intimidated but that never stops me......just improve my stock of provisions and make sure I have others check on me a little more often in case the game fuses all my senses and I become a steamed vegetable.

I try to hijack the Andromada.I've came close, but I haven't had any luck.

dude that thing is a waist of time i spawned it with my code breaker, you can only spawn it in an air feald cuz it is f*cking huge imagen flying the hanger in verdent medows IT IS THAT HUGE!!! cuz you can't even fit it in that hanger and it is slower at flying than the at 400 it sucks you are waisting you time

I think I spent at least six hours over a span of three or four days trying to get the BP/FP/DP/EP Buffalo from "Misappropriation," and a good three hours trying to get the BP/FP/EP Patriot from the courier mission before I figured out the easy way to do it per SE's guide.

I generally just get one of the patriots....but I have to have four of the Buffalos or I am unsatisfied.....and yes I know what you mean....tuff..definately tuff....Those FCR-900 are a real pain...It can be done but I suggest getting someone else for some additional advice on police evasion while getting them......The Merit and Tamp are easy....most the other bikes are easy except for the Sanchez....It would be cool if someone could figure out a non-cheating way to get the Infurnace BP/FP/EP/DP without cheats......but then again....The Mothership was a surprise and the Greenwood too...spent days myself...to no avail......and then started over because somebody else figured it out after I gave up.......There are two versions of the BP/FP/EP/DP you realize one with the top up and one with it down both can be gotten through the Black Project misson.....the AYGTSF MOTHERSHIP is only EP amd maybe FP.

Personally I found getting the EP Maverick the hardest. Puching it from where it's parked all the way to the hangar is a pain. I have an ARMax PS2 save somewhere with a few Patriots, and multiples of a few others. I usually collect them and never use them though. The only time I ever really used any was when making a vid. I took the fourdoor lowrider to a mod shop, loaded it with gang members and went on a rampage.

I think the code he's talking about is the one that gives the car you're in the tank's (Rhino) properties. I think you do the code, get in, then out, then deactivate it and it stays everything proof. I heard it works, and can stay that way after saving, not sure though as I don't use the cheats.

I assume you mean the BP/FP/EP/DP Maverick from the Misappropriation Mission...

..EP usually refers to Explosion Proof as in my own previous posts and the way System_Error lists them as well....However If I am correct you mean Everything Proof by EP....

A tow truck helps alot with that because you can tow that vehicle after you either kill the Target or get him to "accidentally" kill himself

That is a fairly difficult vehicle to aquire...I usually get Two of them...It is time consuming to aquire and available in Blue, Black and Red from what I have seen.

The Patriot from the courier mission is still a bitch though, because it likes to teleport and sometimes disappear. Trying to get it after it's reached its destination in San Fierro is like pulling teeth. Getting it in Grove Street when Cesar first calls, and then waiting for it with the tow truck as you decline the call, then getting it to the Johnson House garage is by far the easiest way.

Although I like jacking a Rhino during one of the wanted level-frozen missions (e.g. The Meat Business) and taking it to the El Corona garage for this use, that Patriot is ideal for some of the later gang war missions (e.g. "Homecoming" and "Grove 4 Life"). Plus, a proofed Patriot is just badass on all counts.

LS-PD Most Wanted

I'm not sure if you noticed, but there's a Fireproof Patriot involved in this adventure.I obtained it via the firefighter missions. It's not always FP,but sometimes it is.It being FP is a better chance than you'll see an Andromada instead of the AT-400,which is rare.
