jarjar
xrk - Not bad, the bends a hard thing to do, tooks me a long time to get it right too. Nice work for the first try though. Also, your missing the n in Andreas .

ybakker
I think i got the bend right: looks most professional to me I think what R* does, is that they do not bend the S in San. Edited October 2, 2006 by ybakker
tourqeglare
The San Andreas bend sucks. (From an artists point of view)
.:Alex:.
Well this is my quickie effort I whipped up in paint (come on! ya gotta love it!) It's far from perfect, I think. But admittedly better than some of the ones I've seen on here (no offence as it IS hard..). EDIT: Here is a better version:
jman12343
Look at San Andreas cover. The cover of SA. If you notice, there is no space between the words. ybakker, yours would be perfect if you got rid of the spaces and had the letters in black like on the cover. lazlov
.:Alex:. "Stories" should be turned too just like "SanAndreas".
ybakker
here. without the spaces. White letters: About the color of the letters: the old boxart (without any art on it) had white letters, so it's official as well. I personnally like the white letters better. here's Black letters anyway:
thatsoccerguy
i prefer ybakker's because it has THE BLACK LETTERS WITH WHITE TRIM just my opinion. Edited October 2, 2006 by thatsoccerguy
zeppelincheetah
oh i see now. when i make a SAS topic I get a million posts complaining that it's off topic and shouldn't be on the VCS board. but when he makes a topic nobody complains.
topdogkiller
i like the whole blackened letters with the thin whit outline. It looks authentic.
jman12343
@ zeppelincheetah: This topic isn't about SAS, it is just me and other people showing fake logos for it that we made. @ ybakker: See, people already said they like it. I really like it too, good job.
ybakker
thanks. now, lets make boxarts!
jarjar
Also, your missing the n in Andreas . opp's lol Not to worry . .:Alex:. - Nice work, I really like it, however like I said before, Black Background and the GTA logo don't work to well. Although I can see you tryed to avoid that adding the 2nd white stroke to the logo. But then that also needs to be done to the "San Andreas Stories" part as well because it also has lost it's effect due to the black background. jman12343 - Nice one pointing that out, thats where I went wrong with mine . ybakker - Nice work, I love the black letters idea . zeppelincheetah - Who's he? goholden1
Not bad, only thing I think you need to change is make the "San Andreas Stories" text's stroke more round rather then square and also, the "San Andreas Stories" text should be up just over the bottom part of the "Grand Theft Auto" text, not beneath it . Other then that, nice work . Thanks. Dident use Photoshop either. Really, god well it must have been hard to do some of it then. The text alone would have been hard. Well done, your very talented if you can do something this good in little old Paint . I used MS Photodraw.

ybakker
here are the horizontal ones: (in PNG transparent format) I added a green, otherwise it'd look boring and plain. and the black letters: Free for you to use...
jarjar
Not bad ybakker, although the transparency needs a bit of fine turning, you have got white nontransparent lines around the text showing up. But apart from that, nice work .
.:Alex:.
@ ybakker Very very very good. But not 100% convincing yet... Yes, the transparency does need work. The words Grand Theft Auto need a white outline (on the black and white version anyway) and you should get rid of the black outline on San Andreas Stories so we can put it on a black background (I'm going to do the Coming Soon screen again)

ybakker
Umm, I don't see any white around the letters. When I use photoshop, and but a red background with the PNG, I don't see anything. Perhaps it's the browser you are using? And uh ja750, how and what did u do? Now i dont see the gray background in Internet Explorer anymore. cool Edited October 3, 2006 by ybakker
.:Alex:.
Well it appears for me as well. This tiny strip of it around the letters...
ybakker
I just tried with firefox. Yea it makes a white line... strange. Because the PNG actually doesn't have any white (when I put it on a colored background in Photoshop) I'm just trying to figure out what to do to make the white line disappear in Firefox. (Although it isn't a problem in photoshop) I'd just like to know what ja750 did.
Ja750
Well to me it had white lines around the edges before i edited it.
ybakker
What did u do to edit it? and which program? I downloaded it (with firefox and IE), and tested it with photoshop and no white lines with a red background. very strange I think firefox does something weird. (go IE !!)
