leonpliskin and i are working on a mgs mod

for now the weapons are done and ingame

i also have playermodels, cars,helis, metal gear ray etc

for the to do list;

all mgs2 weapons,

new map,

new script,

new characters,

and loads off little things

but we still need some help if anyone wants to help pm me

we need someone who can;

texture map

script,

map,

rig charcters and vehicles.

help will be apreciated and will be a team member

ration, cellphone, hfblade, coolantspray, spas12, m4, an-94, psg1, nikita, nvg, saa, makarov, stinger, the guards backpack (parachute), and the grenades are also done

thats it for now i will update soon

Looks great, keep it up. I'm just digging that cardboard box tounge.gif . Is it a clothing item? or is it just a weapon?

Cool, is anyone rigging that head? Can't wait.

 

EDIT: That box will have problems, I mean when you hit fire weapon, the box will go weird.

the head is rigged but it uses multible textures and im not good in texture mapping so i cant fix that all the textures need to be one whole texture

It may be possible to do the Shagohod from MGS3 but the other Metal gears would be more difficult to re create in SA thanks to the anims.

If you could get me some good ref pics I could make it is a Hydra (for some extra features) or a Hunter replacement, this would allow it to be heavily armed. Neither of these would be able to fly mind, it just wouldn't be right.

I was considering making it a couple of weeks ago anyways so I could be easily persuaded to start.

 

I love the cardboard box, is there going to be an SCM edit so it actually lets you hide from the cops?

 

I'll have to get back to MGS3 now to get better ideas how to get the Shagohod working.

I could possibly get it working in the water with at least a chain gun if you are interested, in fact I can now turn the Hydra into a boat so I can animate at least six axis on it, probably have it work underwater and fly as well. The Ray is a bit problematic though as it is the most humanoid of the Metal Gears that is why I thought of the Shagohod as it is the simplest form of Metal Gear.

The enter exit height if I replace an aircraft is limited as well, If you have used my Macross Hydra replacement, that is set at the maximum height limit for entry, any higher and you either can't get in or it causes problems.

You would never get any realistic movement out of it unless you replaced a ped and altered some animations, that's way out of my league though.

 

Anyway, let me know if you want some assist getting the Ray in game.

can you make the hunter also as a boot and make it fly ?

oh and another qeustion you made that saber glow can you show me how you do that so i can use it for lasers and flashlights

love it on;y critisicusm is that you socoms look like usp's and the slinced socom loosk liek a .45 beretta other then that good work. if you need socom refs o plenty i got soem ofthe real gun as well as my own work. i look forward to seeing you progress in the future.

the usp if from olga gurlukovich and the beretta is solid snakes m9

There is a tutorial on how to do the lighting effect in the folder with my Mig-15 at GTAGarage.

It will explain all mate, without me clogging up this topic.

I could still get the Ray working in place of the Hunter or even better the SeaSparrow.

That way you could still have a Hind in place of the Hunter and an armed and seaworthy Ray with minimal head, arm and leg movements also derived from rudder, ailerons and elevators, etc.

 

If you are interested, PM me a link to DL the model and I can start work on it for you.

This model will remain exclusive to yourself and no one but yourself or I, or whomever you deem fit, shall be able to use it until your TC mod is released.

Metal Gear Ray update.

The MG Ray is in game and I am currently working on handling and some minor movement touches.

Still have to try and make some sort of cockpit and a shadow model.

It flies and swims underwater well, it's also a Seasparrow replacement to try and save the Hunter for a Hind.

Just fly an ordinary plane into the water at low speed. You get the same splash.

However ,where normal planes conk out this one keeps going.

It is like flying underwater, the speed is highly reduced by drag but it is pretty fluid enough and actually helps give the impression of the machines huge size.

When you initially enter it at the spawn point near Verdant Meadows it will submerge slowly on throttle alone, you just have to push forward on the stick to dive faster or pull back to surface and take off.

The only problem underwater is if you turn upside down, it just conks out and you have to bail before it explodes. You win some and you lose some.

I'll try and make a vid.

 

EDIT. the cockpit would be nice mate, the model also seems to be missing the front upper part of the head.

 

Snakes looking good too, when can i test him out?

Unless we get a coder I don't think any time really soon. I'll probably release the early versions of the skins for fun, and I might be able to talk Beeswax into releasing a bet of all those winderful mgs gun.
